Abstract: An electric socket outlet is provided with an outer shutter (20) mounted slidably on the socket fascia (11) and movable between a closed position in which it covers and hides from view the openings (16-18) in the fascia through which the plug pins enter, and an open position in which the openings are uncovered. The shutter is received in a recess (14) in the fascia so that its front surface is flush with that of the fascia, and is biased to the closed position by a spring (25). A switch may be included and an interlock device provided to prevent the switch being turned on when there is no plug inserted in the socket and to ensure the switch is turned off when a plug is removed from the socket.

Abstract: A supply connector for an electrical distribution track (1) consisting of a channel housing longitudinal conductors (4) comprises a body (7) carrying contacts (18) for engaging the track conductors, and a polarizing member (23) which cooperates with the track to permit one orientation of the connector in the track, the polarity of the connector being reversible by rotating a member (21) which carries wiring symbols (L,N) to indicate the correct connections between the suuply leads and the terminals for the polarity selected.
Abstract: To connect electrical supply leads (19) to an electrical distribution track (1-6) a hole (16) is formed in a rear wall (2) by drilling a series of intersecting holes using a guide block (7) engageable in the track channel and including a locking plate (19) to secure it therein, inserting an insulating bushing (8) into the hole (16) and feeding the supply connectors (19) through the bushing for connection to a supply connector (21) which is inserted into the track through the channel mouth.
