Abstract: A saw blade position setting apparatus of a working table such as a table saw which is mounted on a support frame and to which a blade assembly is mounted with a handle assembly including a handle and a handle shaft held by the support frame to be rotatable and operatively connected to the blade assembly. The blade assembly is supported by a support member connected to the handle shaft. A clutch mechanism is selectively transmitting rotation of the handle to a blade assembly elevating mechanism and a blade assembly inclining mechanism. The elevational position and the inclination of the blade assembly are adjusted in accordance with the rotation of the handle assembly. A rack is secured to the support frame and the handle assembly is moved along the rack to a predetermined angle position. A lock lever is disposed in operative association with the handle assembly and operatively connected to the clutch mechanism.
Abstract: A sand core adapted for high pressure casting is formed by a core body and a support pin to be connected to the core body. The support pin is provided with one end portion to be embedded in said core body and the other end portion projected outwardly from the core body. A connecting means is formed to the embedded portion so as to integrally connect the core body and the support pin and a support pin positioning and supporting means is formed at the projecting portion of the support pin. Positioning pins extending from a core formation mold are engaged with the positioning and supporting means so that the embedded end portion of the support pin is positioned in the cavity of the core formation mold. The cavity is filled with core sand whereby the embedded one end of the support pin is supported to integrally form the support pin and the core body. The sand core is dipped in a slurry including a sand core coating material and then heated and dried.
Abstract: A golf club shaft comprises a laminated tube constituting a main body of the shaft which is wound around the outer periphery of a mandrel, a transparent metallic layer wound around the outer periphery of the laminated tube and a resin coat such as epoxy resin formed on the outer periphery of the transparent metallic layer. The laminated tube is composed of a plurality of cloth prepreg sheets having different fiber orientations when wound around the mandrel. The transparent metallic layer is composed of a cloth prepreg sheet and a metallic surface. The cloth prepreg sheet is formed of a cloth of organic and/or inorganic fibers, which is made transparent after molding treatment, and formed by plating or depositing, on one surface of the cloth, metal such as titanium or the like and by impregnating epoxy resin or other thermosetting or thermoplastic resin into the thus formed cloth.
Abstract: An aluminum alloy for abrasion resistant die castings comprising by weight, 6.0 to 9.0% Cu, 0.5 to 2.0% Mn, 1.6 to 3.0% Fe, 3% or less Mg, together with 13.5 to 20.0% Si, 0.5% or less Ni, an inevitable impurity of 0.3% or less Sn, and the remainder being Al, prepared by crystallizing out primary Si crystals of Si and Al-Fe-Mn-Si compounds and by forming a solid solution with Cu and Mg in the alloy's matrix.
Abstract: A matrix of an Al-Ni base alloy or an Al-Si-Cu base alloy is strengthened by dispersion of particles of Ni, Si or at least one intermetallic compound selected from among AlNi, Al.sub.3 Ni, Al.sub.3 Ni.sub.2 and AlNi.sub.3.

Abstract: A battery charging circuit includes a thermostat sensing the temperature of the battery as it is charged, a silicon controlled rectifier which when conductive enables charging of the battery and when non-conductive prevents charging of the battery, and a transistor which renders the silicon controlled rectifier non-conductive when the temperature of the battery reaches a predetermined level corresponding to complete charging and is adapted to render the silicon controlled rectifier conductive responsive to a temperature of the battery below the predetermined temperature. When the temperature of the battery is lowered below the predetermined level after the battery has been completely charged, the transistor is rendered non-conductive to ensure that the silicon controlled rectifier is not brought again to the conductive state.
Abstract: A sanding machine comprising: a housing; a pad base; a pad; a suspension for suspending the pad base from the housing, the suspension being formed of elastic material; a fastener for detachably fixing the pad base to the suspension; a sand paper clamp having a fixing portion for providing a sand paper over the lower surface of the pad; a fastener for detachably securing the pad to the pad base; and a restraint for restraining distortional rotation of the suspension when the pad base is secured to the suspension by the fastener. The restraint also serves as a position adjustor for aligning the attaching portion of the sand paper clamp and the pad base with the suspension.
Abstract: In a clutch mechanism for use in a fishing reel, one end of a torsion spring is connected to a flipping cam which is rotated between a pair of pins. When the flipping cam positions at one of the pins, the torsion spring biases the clutch mechanism selectively to its ON and OFF states depending upon the state of the clutch mechanism. On the other hand, when the flipping cam positions at the other one of the pins, the torsion spring continuously biases the clutch mechanism to its ON state irrespective of the state of the clutch mechanism. Thus, in the latter condition, the clutch mechanism is shifted and held at its OFF state only during when a force exceeding the biasing force of the torsion spring continues to be applied to the clutch mechanism, and immediately when the force is removed, the clutch mechanism automatically returns to its ON state by the biasing force of the torsion spring.
Abstract: Disclosed is a drag control device in a spinning type fishing reel which includes a reel body and a spool shaft extending through the reel body. The drag control device comprises a hollow cylindrical member, a drag control screw, a click spring member and a stop member. The hollow cylindrical member extends from a rear portion of the reel body and is disposed over the spool shaft. The drag control screw has one end portion threadingly engaged with the hollow cylindrical member, an intermediate portion formed with the stepped portion, and the other end portion formed with indentations at an outer peripheral surface thereof. The hollow cylindrical member is formed with a groove at its outer peripheral surface and a through hole extending in radial direction thereof. The click spring member is fitted with the groove and engageable with the indentations. The stop member is provided to the click spring member and extends through the through-hole into the stepped portion.
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for releasably locking a fireproof door in an open position. A latch mechanism includes a hook connected to the door. The hook is releasably engaged with an actuator plate swingable between a latching position and a release position. Its motion is restricted by resilient means having bias adjustment means. A toggle mechanism keeps the actuator plate in its latching position until the toggle mechanism is struck by a remote-controlled solenoid plunger to release the door and let it close. If the solenoid malfunctions, the door can be closed manually with a force dependent on the setting of the bias adjustment means.
Abstract: A drag control mechanism for use in a fishing reel of the type wherein a drag mechanism is mounted on a handle shaft to apply a drag force against a master gear comprises a drag control member mounted on the handle shaft, a drag pawl which engages or disengages from the drag control member, a reverse rotation preventing pawl which engages the ratchet wheel and a drag switch swingable between its ON and OFF states. When the drag switch is in its ON state, the drag pawl engages the drag control member to prevent the rotation thereof and the reverse rotation pawl disengages from the ratchet wheel to permit the reverse rotation of the shaft, so that the drag force of the drag mechanism is controlled by the movement of the drag control member relative to the shaft upon the rotation of the handle.
