    Abstract: A differential torque transmitting device is disclosed which comprises two serially arranged fluid metal couplings and a reducing gear inserted in parallel between the output members of the first and the second coupling. Means are provided to disconnect the reducing gear as the speed of the driven shaft equals that of the driving shaft.
