  • Patent number: 5174717
Abstract: A wiring harness is provided with connectors which are electrically and physically attached to terminal wires extending from the electrical resistance deicer heater and cables extending from a power supply so that the connectors when assembled, establish the desired electrical connection, the assembled connectors being secured to a bracket fastened to the hub of a propeller, blade with a portion of the bracket being engageable with the assembled connector bodies to hold the connectors in assembled position on the hub.

  • Patent number: 4682010
Abstract: An in-line heater for an aerosol delivery system has an elongated tubular electrically insulated plastic body having first and second ends coaxially aligned along the major axis of the tubular body. The first and second ends contain an aerosol inlet and outlet, respectively. The plastic body has an unrestricted flow passage therein from the first to the second end and a self supporting electrically conductive spiral mesh heating element loosely fills the flow passageway within the body. The mesh heating element has a very low mass so as to be almost instantaneously responsive and extends across the space between the side walls of the flow passage to maximize the surface area thereof exposed to the aerosol mixture flowing through the passage. First and second terminals are adjacent the first and second housing ends, respectively, and are connected to the ends of the spiral mesh heating elements by a pair of crimped connector plates.

  • Patent number: 4626819
Abstract: A switch adjusting mechanism is disclosed having a linearly operable actuator with a rotary adjustment for selectively varying the position of a switch operator of the actuator relative to a movable switch contact. The linearly operable actuator and its rotary adjustment are independently operable and serve dual functions of not only accurately adjusting the operating point of switch actuation but also providing precise facile calibration.

  • Patent number: 4576798
Abstract: A contact lens disinfecting unit in which the lenses are immersed in a saline solution and heated to a predetermined minimum disinfecting temperature which is maintained for a predetermined period of time. The unit has a heating system which includes a PTC thermistor as a heating element sandwiched between metal heat distribution plates, and this heating system interacts with a manually resettable thermostat to control operation of the unit.

  • Patent number: 4517446
Abstract: A heating device designed to be used within a refrigerated environment is provided with at least a first plate which is electrically insulated from an underlying resistance heater circuit. Plural insulating layers beneath the resistance heater reflect heat back toward the plate. The entire assembly is sealed against moisture.

  • Patent number: 3961157
Abstract: A radiant heater of panel form comprises an electric resistance heater sandwiched between a non-conductive flat front panel and a thermal insulator in the form of an open-celled honeycomb panel having closed front and rear faces. An electrically non-conductive rear panel is bonded to the rear face of the honeycomb panel. The front panel is selected for maximum emission at temperatures below 200.degree.F. The interior of the rear face of the honeycomb panel is provided with a heat reflecting metallic foil layer which acts as a directional heat reflector. The over temperature protection device for the panel heater is positioned entirely within the honeycomb panel between the front and rear faces thereof.
