Abstract: A method of manufacturing a polarising lens for spectacles in which the lens is obtained by injection co-moulding the material of the lens on a polarising optical filter structure is described. The optical filter structure which already has its curved shape received during the stage of filter manufacture is subjected to a thermoforming stage before being inserted into the injection mould in order that the optical filter should obtain the desired curvature for the subsequent stage of injection co-moulding the lens onto the optical filter structure.

Abstract: A resilient hinge device for connecting each of the arms to a front frame of spectacles in an articulated way, includes a tie bar having an axial extremity articulated with the arm and a resilient member including a substantially U-shaped sheet metal body, the resilient member being fitted onto the tie bar in such a way as to remain placed between the front frame and the arm to resiliently stress the arm towards preselected angular positions with respect to the front frame when the arm is rotated, these angular positions including a position in which the arm is open, suitable for wearing of the spectacles, and a closed position of the arm folded back against the front frame, and to return the arm to the open position when rotated beyond that position when opened too far with respect to the frame.

Abstract: A mount for spectacles includes a first front frame made of plastic and having respective lens-holding rims with a closed contour, to receive and support lens, and a second frame made of metallic material inserted inside the first frame and solidly fixed thereto, the second frame including respective portions in a closed ring shape and extending respectively along the outline of the corresponding lens-holding rim, the mount being produced by stratification of the plastics material of the first frame on the second frame, by applying at least one sheet of plastic material of the first frame on each of the front and rear opposite surfaces of the second frame. At least one section of the second frame, at the location of each lens-holding rim, has a profile extending longitudinally in a sinuous shape, substantially of serpentine configuration, permitting assembly/disassembly of the lens in the lens-holding rim exclusively by resilient deformation.

Abstract: A protective mask for sports use, in particular for skiing disciplines, comprises a front frame for the retention of at least one lens, a nasal support element extending along the perimetral profile of the frame in the nasal region, and also capable of surrounding with bearing contact the nasal region when the mask is worn on the face, the fit of the nasal support element being adjusted, by adaptation of the frame to the shape of the face in the nasal support region. The support element is structurally independent of the front frame and at least one appendage is mounted to be rotatable on the front frame, at the nasal support region, about an axis of rotation and also acting on the nasal support element, in order to displace the support relative to the front frame, the at least one appendage being reversibly locked in a selected angular position relative to the frame, about the axis, so as to improve the adaptation of the nasal support element to the shape of the nasal region of the face.

Abstract: In a method of manufacturing spectacles of the type which does not have a lens-holding frame and which has a single, wrap-around front lens structure that can extend laterally beyond the main visual regions, and which also has respective arms for the lateral support of the spectacles, predominant portions of the respective lateral arms of the spectacles are produced integrally with the front lens structure by a process for the forming of plastics material with which a semi-finished lens is produced, so that the spectacles are consequently produced in a single piece.

Abstract: A lens for spectacles is described which is delimited by a first and a second lens surface which are spaced apart from and located opposite each other, the first surface being arranged to face towards the inner side of the spectacles, near the face of the user when the spectacles are worn, the second opposite surface facing towards the opposite outer side of the spectacles, first cross-sectional curves being defined on the lens by the intersection of the first and second lens surfaces with a plane which is transverse to the lens and intersects a straight line joining the eyes of the user, in which the first cross-sectional curves have negative curvature with the concavity directed towards the outer side of the spectacles.

Abstract: A device for spectacles, such as a lug for the articulation of a spectacle arm or a central nasal support bridge, to a lens, the lens has a pair of holes for the locking of the mount member, has a pair of bush members rigidly connected to each other and has respective axial holes, there being provided in the mount member a pair of pin-type appendages capable of being inserted into the respective holes subject to the introduction of these latter into the corresponding lens holes, such that each bush member is interposed between an inner surface of the lens hole and a corresponding outer surface of appendage. Each pin-type appendage has localized protuberances that deform the corresponding coupling surface. The fixing device has at least one relief protruding from the outer wall of each appendage and extending on a helical course in the axial direction of the appendage.

Abstract: Mask-form goggles, particularly for sporting use, are described which include a first front mount and a second juxtaposed mount and a lens held on at least one of the mounts. The first and the second mounts extend in such a manner that they surround the lens, and a releasable mutual coupling device is provided between the first and the second mount and is such as to permit access to the inside of the mask, when it is being worn, by moving one of the mounts away from the other.

Abstract: A spectacle frame with arms which can be opened out resiliently comprises a shoulder (3), an arm (2) articulated to the shoulder by means of a tie rod (5) hinged thereon and guided for sliding on the arm (2), resilient means (13) acting between the arm (2) and the tie rod (5) in order to urge the arm towards the shoulder, and a stop element interposed between the resilient means and the arm. The stop element comprises a sleeve (11) guided for sliding on the tie rod (5) and fixed firmly to the arm (2) by means of a locking pin (15).
