  • Patent number: 5116171
Abstract: A pressure controlled cutter bit or drill bit retainer in the form of a revolving drill head with hydraulic precision adjustment of the drill bit arranged at a central extension, which is displaceable from its original position by small amounts around a pivot axis by a pressure motor, wherein this displacement occurs without any parts mechanically rubbing against each other and the dimensioning of the pressure motor and extension defining the transmission ratio conditions are selected in such a way that the travel of the drill bit guided along a curved path is greater than the travel of the pressure motor output produced by volume change, and wherein the overall volume of the pressure motor is selected to be slightly greater than the volume required for moving the pressure motor output.

  • Patent number: 5033918
Abstract: A fine adjustment device for turning tool bits in the form of a pneumatic/hydraulic converter for converting of control signals into proportional actuating or adjusting forces with a combination of an oil pump and pneumatically controlled overflow valve, whose outlet pressure is adjustable with the help of control air.

  • Patent number: 4925498
Abstract: A pneumatic control valve comprises a position controller and a valve which is influenced by the controller. A valve member can be lifted by means of a servomotor which is securely connected to the valve housing by means of a yoke, the servomotor being connected to the valve member by means of a valve rod. The lift position of the valve rod is sensed by means of a rotatable lever of the position controller, which rotatable lever is in a working connection with the valve rod by means of an articulated device. A housing encloses the valve rod, the lever and the articulated device.

  • Patent number: 4913602
Abstract: An apparatus for the fine radial adjustment of a turning tool of a rotating cutter head with a first converter for converting a low pneumatic control pressure into a fluid pressure and with a further pressure converter for converting the intermediate pressure into a high working pressure for acting upon an adjusting medium, adjusts a turning tool. The first converter is stationary outside of the rotating head and is connected to the second converter, which is disposed in the rotating head, over a connection of conduits providing a rotary transmission for pressure transformation. The intermediate pressure is set higher than the control pressure, but lower than the adjusting pressure for unloading the rotary transmission.

  • Patent number: 4074701
Abstract: Fluidic switch with a switch housing having two housing halves and two actuating chambers separated by an actuating membrane having at its circumferential margin a sealing bolster substantially parallel to the plane of separation of the housing halves; a switch valve chamber; and an actuating lever extending from the actuating membrane into the switch valve chamber, fulcrumed about an axis parallel to the plane of separation on a resilient lead-through portion which is formed by a section of the sealing bolster.
