Abstract: A photo-setting and thermosetting resin composition comprises (I) a partial adduct of epoxy resin with unsaturated aliphatic acid, (II) (meth)acrylates, (III) a photocrosslinking agent, (IV) liquid epoxy resin, and (V) a latent curing agent. The resin composition can be easily charged and plugged into a through-hole, does not drip down, and can be effectively photo-set and thermoset. A photo-set product prepared of the resin composition can be easily polished. A plugged-through-hole printed wiring (substrate) board prepared of the resin composition does not cause defects such as hollows, cracks, blisters, peelings and so on, is excellent in solder-resistance, does not corrode a metal part, and can produce an appliance of high reliability and long life which does not occur short circuit and poor electrical connection.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide an aqueous solution of a No. 1 permanent waving agent through reconstitution upon use in a simple manner, which solution contains a cyclic mercapto compound as a reducing agent and realizes excellent characteristics such as high waving effect and good appearance of waved hair. The invention provides an alkylene carbonate dilution containing a cyclic mercapto compound in an amount of 7 to 80 wt. %; an alkylene carbonate for use in preparation of the alkylene carbonate dilution; and an aqueous reducing chemical agent which is prepared from the alkylene carbonate dilution and an aqueous base material.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for diagnosis of hair for permanent waving, in which the number of untwists of a twisted swatch of hair is counted to measure the waving efficiency, and the result of measurement of the waving efficiency is based to simply select the optimum processing condition for permanent waving which condition has been determined hitherto by relying upon the experience and sense of a beauty artist. The method comprises the steps of imparting twists to a swatch of hair, fixing the hair swatch at its both ends, applying permanent waving to the hair swatch with a waving lotion, releasing one end of the hair swatch in water to measure the number of untwists after processing, evaluating the permanent waving efficiency according to the following formula: ##EQU1## and selecting the optimum processing condition for the permanent waving of the specific hair on the basis of the evaluated waving efficiency.
