Patents Assigned to Sandvik Mining and Construction Lyon SAS
  • Patent number: 7404458
Abstract: The device has a drill body, of generally cylindrical shape, connected by a flexible pipe to a high-pressure water pump placed on a low-height carrying vehicle. A striking piston is mounted movably, and is resiliently returned, in the drill body, and is subjected to a pulsed high water pressure so as to be moved with a percussive movement against a bit-carrying anvil, the pipe simultaneously transmitting to the drill body an alternating rotary movement about its principal axis. A solenoid valve, interposed between the pump and the point of departure of the pipe, receives successive electrical pulses causing opening and closing, which create shock waves in the water column contained in the pipe, which transmits these shock waves to the striking piston of the drill body. Applications: underground workings, mine workings, particularly for use in low-height galleries.

  • Publication number: 20080145152
Abstract: The device stores a specific number of sealing cartridges (8) provided to be introduced into drilled holes. It comprises at least one receptacle (5, 6) containing cartridges (8) arranged horizontally one above the other, and being positioned above a loading area (28) in communication with a dispatch area (29) for the cartridges (8). Between each receptacle (5, 6) and the loading area (28) is provided a rotary distributor (15) activated in a controlled manner to remove the cartridges from the receptacle one by one.

  • Publication number: 20080061621
Abstract: The flexible tubing (2) is designed to transmit a thrust and a rotary torque to a drill body and to supply the drill body with pressurized hydraulic fluid. This flexible tubing (2) is externally or internally composed of a hydraulic hose (3) and, internally or externally depending on the case, a stapled tube (4). It comprises, at its ends, fittings (6) suitable for transmitting the thrust and the rotary torque. Application to rotary-percussion drilling devices using a “downhole hammer” for mining work.

  • Patent number: 7243753
Abstract: The invention relates to drilling or rockbolting machines, for the execution of underground works, in particular in mining operations. The carrier vehicle comprises a chassis and four wheels, all driving wheels, with two wheels situated on the right-hand side of the chassis of the vehicle and two other wheels situated on the left-hand side of the chassis. The four wheels are of the independent suspension type, having a jack-controlled height, and each comprise rotation-drive means, especially hydraulic motors. The chassis receives, at the front and at the rear, working equipment, such as drilling arms with respective guides, the basic position of which is horizontal and transverse to the direction of displacement of the vehicle. This carrier vehicle is applicable to the realization of a machine, which can be used in mine galleries of low height.
