  • Patent number: 5738289
Abstract: A crusher capable of effectively crushing a building structure, shearing iron reinforcing rods, etc., smashing the crushed scraps into pieces, and collecting and carrying an elongated object. A pair of arms (2a, 2b) are driven to open and close for crushing and shearing the object. A front end of each of the pair of arms is divided into a plurality of fingers to which claws (7a, 7a', 7b) are respectively attached. Only the central claw (7a') is inwardly directed by a greater angle as compared with the other claws (7a, 7b). Each arms has a shearing blade (10a, 10b) for shearing an iron reinforcing rod, an iron frame, etc. in the vicinity of the pivoted portion, and also through holes (11) in the central portion. Weight of the arms (2a, 2b) and an arm support (3) are balanced with respect to the central axis of rotation of the arm support (3).

  • Patent number: 5636802
Abstract: A pair of arms (2a, 2b) is rotatably supported on a support through pins (8) at their intermediate portions. A front portion of each arm extending from the portion supported by the pin (8) to the distal end has a distal end formed into a fork comprising a plurality of prongs. The claws (7a, 7a', 7a, 7b, 7b) are attached on respective distal ends of these plural prongs. Only a specific claw (7a') of the claws (7a, 7a', 7a) of one arm (2a), having a pointed conical distal end, is positioned to protrude inward farther than the remaining claws (7a, 7a) and serves to generate deep and shallow cracks where it is forcibly applied to material to be crushed. Shearing blades (10a, 10a) are provided on the front portions of respective arms (2a, 2b) in the vicinity of the portions rotatably supported by the pins (8).

  • Patent number: 4903408
Abstract: A steel plate cutter has a pair of stationary arms arranged with a predetermined gap therebetween, and a movable arm arranged between the stationary arms. An intermediate portion of the movable arm is pivotally supported by the stationary arms. Stationary and movable ends of a hydraulic cylinder are pivotally coupled to the proximal ends of the stationary arms and the movable arm. A pair of base blades that oppose a shearing push blade fixed to the distal end of the movable arm are fixed on the distal ends of the stationary arms. When the movable arm is driven by the hydraulic cylinder to approach and separate from the stationary arms, the shearing push blade of the movable arm enters or escapes from the gap between the base blades of the stationary arms. When the shearing push blade slides between the base blades, it cuts a steel plate in a belt-like strip by coaction with the base blades by a shearing force. The cut strip of the steel plate is bent in a direction away from the steel plate.

  • Patent number: 4890798
Abstract: An equipment adapted to be installed on a working machine, for crushing a structure. A hydraulic piston-cylinder unit is mounted to a bracket member to be mounted to the wording machine, for angular movement relative to the bracket member about an axis of a piston rod of the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit. At least one of a pair of opposed arms has a forward end provided with a crushing member. The pair of arms are operatively connected to the piston rod for pivotal movement, between closed and open positions, toward and away from each other and toward and away from a plane including an axis of the piston rod. A wall of a cylinder of the piston-cylinder unit is formed with passageway supplying hydraulic fluid from a hose unit of the working machine, into the cylinder. A rotatable coupling enables the passageway and the hose unit to communicate with each other, even when the piston-cylinder unit moves angularly about the axis of the piston rod relatively to the bracket member.
