  • Publication number: 20040144191
Abstract: A drive mechanism is interposed between two members to make the members move relatively with respect to each other. At least one of the two members is guided to move linearly. The drive mechanism comprises: cam followers that are rotatably supported on one of the two members, that are arranged in the linear moving direction, and that are spaced from each other; and a cam that is rotatably supported on the other one of the two members and that is provided in its circumference with a cam groove in which the cam followers engage, the rotation axis of the cam being arranged in the direction of the linear moving direction. The two members are made to move relatively with respect to each other by driving the cam to rotate and making the cam followers engage successively in the cam groove and move in the direction of the rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 6213369
Abstract: A material feeding apparatus has gripper apparatuses which perform clamping and unclamping operations of a material by means of a stationary gripper and a movable gripper, and a sliding block which can support the first gripper apparatus and oscillate in a transfer direction of the material. These members are respectively driven by first, second and third cams which are fixed to an input shaft. In order to closely attach transfer members interposed between the first cam performing a forwarding operation of the material and the sliding block to each other, a spring which always urges the sliding block in a returning direction is provided. Accordingly, it is possible to remove a play between the transfer members and perform a feeding operation at a high speed and a high accuracy. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a material feeding apparatus which can transfer and supply the material at a high speed and a high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5687645
Abstract: There is disclosed a mechanical pressing machine in which an unbalanced inertia force, produced during reciprocal movement of a slider, is canceled without producing deflection in the whole of the pressing machine, thereby enhancing dynamic precision. The slider, slidably mounted at a lower portion of a frame, is connected to a dynamic balancer, slidably mounted at an upper portion of the frame, by link mechanisms. A press cam, having a cam surface in contact with cam followers mounted respectively on the slider and the dynamic balancer, is fixedly mounted on a cam shaft. Dynamic balancer cams, each having a cam surface in contact with cam followers mounted respectively on interconnecting points of the link mechanisms, is fixedly mounted on the cam shaft. The dynamic balancer is driven to move in a direction opposite to a direction of movement of the slider, so that an unbalanced inertia force, produced in the moving slider, is canceled by an oppositely-directed inertia force produced in the dynamic balancer.

  • Patent number: 5603880
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to realize a method and an apparatus for efficiently mass-producing tablets of high mechanical strength, accuracy and quality which are so excellent in solubility and collapsibility that they can be easily taken by persons of advanced ages and infants. By using a turn table and endless belt means to which a number of dies are connected, a part of which turn table contacts with the endless belt means, the turn table and the endless belt means being adapted to relatively move with respect to each other, receptacles are formed by pressing plastic polymer film in mold cavities of the dies. Moist powder supplied from a hopper into filling holes of the turn table is pressurizingly filled in the receptacles by means of a filling and pressurizing device in the region where the turn table is laid above the endless belt means.

  • Patent number: 5544577
Abstract: In a mechanical pressing machine, a torque compensation plate cam is mounted on one end of a crankshaft, and a cam follower mounted on a distal end of a piston rod of a resilient force-producing device is held in pressing contact with the torque compensation plate cam so as to cancel a load fluctuation produced on the crankshaft. The resilient force-producing device employs a compression coil spring or an air spring. The crankshaft may be of the dual type, in which case a slider is supported by two connecting rods. With this construction, a periodic inertial load fluctuation, repeatedly produced for every revolution during the operation of the mechanical press, is compensated for by the system for reserving energy, and hence is cancelled, thereby balancing the energy, so that variations in rotation of the crankshaft are eliminated, thereby reducing vibrations and noises.

Abstract: There is disclosed a mechanical pressing machine utilizing a crankshaft, in which an unbalanced inertia force produced during a reciprocal movement of a slider is canceled without producing a flexure in the whole of the pressing machine, thereby enhancing a dynamic precision. A balance weight, which is equivalent in weight to the slider vertically slidably supported on a frame, is slidably mounted on an upper portion of the slider for vertical sliding movement. The slider is driven through a first crankshaft and a connecting rod, and at the same time the balance weight is driven in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the slider through a first gear fixedly mounted on the first crankshaft, a second gear, an intermediate shaft, flexible couplings, a second crankshaft and a connecting rod. As a result, an inertia force produced in the slider is canceled by an oppositely-directed inertia force of the balance weight.

  • Patent number: 5467706
Abstract: There is disclosed a mechanical pressing machine utilizing a rotation cam, in which an unbalanced inertia force, produced during a reciprocal movement of a slider, is canceled in a slider system without producing a large flexure in the whole of the pressing machine, thereby enhancing a dynamic precision. The slider and a balance weight are mounted respectively on an upper portion and a lower portion of a frame for vertical sliding movement. The slider and the balance weight are connected through links to a pair of sliding blocks which are reciprocally movable in opposite horizontal directions through a rib cam. With this arrangement, the slider and the balance weight are reciprocally moved vertically in opposite directions, respectively, so that an inertia force of the slider is canceled in the slider system.
