  • Patent number: 11877848
Abstract: A dermal patch for collecting a physiological sample includes a housing with a collection chamber, a sample channel and a pin within a receptacle of the housing. The sample channel is configured to direct a physiological sample drawn from a subject to the collection chamber. The pin is removably positioned within the receptacle and is configured to move from an undeployed position to a deployed position. The pin is configured to seal the receptacle when in the undeployed position and is further configured to facilitate generation of negative pressure in the sample channel when the pin is moved from the undeployed to the deployed position.

Abstract: A dermal patch system for administering a pharmaceutical includes a vial that stores a pharmaceutical and a cartridge coupled to the vial. The cartridge includes a pull mechanism, a pump, a plurality of microneedles in communication with the vial. The microneedles are configured to move between an undeployed position to a deployed position. When pulled, the pull mechanism is configured to cause the microneedles to move from the undeployed position to the deployed position and cause the pump to pump the pharmaceutical from the vial and to the microneedles.

  • Publication number: 20230142316
Abstract: A system for analyzing a physiological sample includes a cartridge configured to attach to the skin of a subject. The cartridge includes: a processing fluid pack that is configured to release a processing fluid stored therein, a diagnostic test strip, and a vacuum pin. The system also includes a lancet with a needle. The lancet is configured to deploy the needle upon engagement with the cartridge to draw a physiological sample from the subject. The vacuum pin is configured to create a vacuum within the cartridge to draw the released processing fluid and the drawn physiological sample to the diagnostic test strip.

  • Publication number: 20230137549
Abstract: A dermal patch system for collecting a physiological sample includes a cartridge configured to attach to the skin of a subject. The cartridge includes a bottom material layer, a middle material layer, a top material layer, and a sample collection pad. The top layer and the middle layer define a vacuum pin receptacle and the vacuum pin is disposed within the vacuum pin receptacle. The vacuum pin creates a vacuum within the cartridge when moved to a deployed position. The system further includes a lancet with a needle(s). The lancet is configured to move the needle(s) from an undeployed position to a deployed position when engaged with into the cartridge. The needle(s) is configured to draw a physiological sample from the subject when the needle(s) is in the deployed position. The vacuum created by the vacuum pin draws the physiological sample to the sample collection pad.
