  • Patent number: 11180341
Abstract: A textile machine for producing cross-wound packages, comprising a plurality of workstations, each of which has at least one pneumatic consumer, and comprising a suction system which has at least one vacuum source to which the pneumatic consumers of the workstations are connected via a machine-length vacuum duct arranged in the region of the central axis between two rows of workstations. In order to modify such a textile machine producing cross-wound packages in such a way that it is ensured that the required minimum spinning vacuum is always available at all workstations of the textile machine during spinning operation, according to the invention the textile machine producing cross-wound packages has, in addition to the vacuum duct, a machine-length bypass duct which is also installed in the region of the central axis and is arranged above chain ducts for service units.

  • Patent number: 11174105
Abstract: A tube storage and transport device for a textile machine producing cross-wound packages, which has a plurality of similar workstations arranged side-by-side on both longitudinal machine sides, having a central tube magazine and two empty-tube conveyor belts arranged in the region of the longitudinal machine sides is provided. To improve the known tube storage and transport devices, and in particular to optimize the clock times that can be achieved during the empty-tube delivery, the tube magazine has at least two elevator units, that the elevator units have stacked and vertically displaceable holders for empty tubes, that the holders are designed for the empty tubes to be set down in a manner oriented the longitudinal direction of the machine, and that each of the elevator units is connected to one of the empty-tube conveyor belts and is designed in such a way that empty tubes are removed from the elevator units from the longitudinal machine side and transferred onto the empty-tube conveyor belts.

  • Patent number: 11066271
Abstract: A method for operating a textile machine with several identical workstations which each have a basic requirement for negative pressure for regular production operation and an additional requirement for negative pressure following an interruption to production at the workstation, and with a vacuum system with limited suction force to exert the negative pressure on the workstations. A minimum negative pressure (pmin) is set and the number workstations simultaneously supplied with additional negative pressure is limited so that the minimum negative pressure (pmin) is always met. In accordance with the invention, a sub-negative pressure (psub) is specified which is below the minimum negative pressure (pmin) and, if a specified event occurs, the number of workstations simultaneously supplied with additional negative pressure is temporarily limited so that the sub-negative pressure (psub) is always met.

  • Patent number: 11066760
Abstract: An open-end spinning device having a rotor housing (1) which can be acted upon by negative pressure and a spinning rotor (2), the rotor housing (1) is open towards the front and can be closed by a cover element, to the rear the rotor housing (1) has a rear wall (3) with a passage opening (4) for a rotor shaft (5) of the spinning rotor (2). In order to prevent the occurrence of thread coils inside the rotor housing (1) behind the spinning rotor, a narrow gap (6) of less than 2 mm is provided between the spinning rotor (2) and the rear wall (3) of the rotor housing (1) at the largest outer diameter of the spinning rotor (2) and the rear wall (3) of the rotor housing (1) is designed such that the area (7) behind the spinning rotor (2) is covered inside the rotor housing (1).

  • Patent number: 11060210
Abstract: Method for operating a service unit for processing work orders regarding a cross-wound package/empty tube doffing process employed at spinning machines producing take-up packages that process at least two different lots, whereby the service unit is fed an empty tube via the spinning machine's tube feed track, and the fed empty tube is taken up by the service unit. If the current work order for the cross-wound package/empty tube doffing of the workstations expires before it is processed and the empty tube is exchanged and another work order has come in which is for a workstation requiring a cross-wound package/empty tube doffing for another lot, the already taken up empty tube is released by the service unit, and the service unit takes up an empty tube of another lot in order to be able to carry out a cross-wound package/empty tube doffing process at the other workstation.

  • Patent number: 10816534
Abstract: In order to optically sense a yarn moved in the longitudinal direction of the yarn, a yarn sensor has a light source, a detector and a light guiding element. The yarn sensor is based on the effect of frustrated total internal reflection (FTIR). Because of the FTIR effect, scattered light exiting the light guiding element in the contact region between the yarn and an outer surface of the light guiding element is detected by means of the detector, in which case sensing of the yarn lying against the outer surface is enabled. Alternatively, the reduced intensity in the totally internally reflected beam is then sensed by the detector. The intensity in the totally internally reflected beam is reduced mainly by the scattered light coupled out of the light guiding element.
