  • Publication number: 20050237271
Abstract: To provide an image display device of the type that presents images in a certain part of the field of vision in which the image display device can be used for prolonged periods of time. An image display device 1 includes a main body 10 having a shape of a glasses frame, a right-eye display device 20R and a left-eye display device 20L. Each of the right-eye display device 20R and the left-eye display device 20L is for displaying a predetermined image and is provided in such a manner that it is not very clearly visible for a user when the user wearing the main body 10 on his or her head looks straight ahead and that it becomes clearly visible for the user only when the user moves his or her forward-looking eyes away. The user can get a forward field of vision and can see the images displayed on the right-eye display device 20R and the left-eye display device 20L when he or she looks at 45 degrees down.

  • Patent number: 6833952
Abstract: A stereoscopic display apparatus 20 is employed in combination with an image transmission section 10. A case 1 includes a half-mirror 3, a visual field lens 4 and polarizers 22L, 22R therein, and an observation port 23 with a hood is defined in the case 1. A band 25 to be worn on a viewer's head is disposed in the exterior of the case 1. Both of the polarizers 22L and 22R are so designed as to display the stereoscopic images for the right and left eyes on the basis of data transmitted from the image transmission section 10, respectively, and the image lights are guided to the viewer's eyes through the half-mirror 3 and the visual field lens 4. The stereoscopic display apparatus 20 is of the head mount type that guides the images for the right and left eyes projected onto one display screen which is formed of the half-mirror 3 to the right and left eyes.

  • Patent number: 6502583
Abstract: New findings such as the highlight theory which determines the impression of a face are utilized for the technology of correcting the photograph of face image and for the makeup technology. The method includes determining a requested face which is requested by the person who wants the photograph to be corrected or wants to be made up, and creating an image of the face corrected or made up by executing image-processings such as contour—combining of the original face image or the face of the person based on the requested face.

  • Patent number: 5442489
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnifying observation apparatus of a video type in which an image of an object to be observed which has been picked up by an image pick-up apparatus incorporating an imaging device therein is reproduced on a monitor display and observed. It is an object of the invention to attain a compact structure of the entire system so as to permit easy observation in a simple manner. According to the present invention, in order to achieve such object, not only the imaging device but also a control circuit unit for the imaging device, an optical system for focusing the image of the object to be observed on the imaging device, and a light-source lamp for lighting the object to be observed, are incorporated in the image pick-up apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4988158
Abstract: An image pickup head for an image pickup device capable of permitting the observed section at a subject to be illuminated with a uniform lumination while preventing the reflection of light at the observed section from adversely affecting an image of the observed section. A first polarizing element having a predetermined polarization plane is arranged in the optical path of light projected from the projection end of a light guide onto a subject, while a second polarizing element having a predetermined polarization plane is arranged in the optical path of light reflected at the subject and guided to an image pickup element. The polarization planes of the first and second polarizing elements are varied relative to each other to provide an image either including or free of light reflected at the surface of the subject.

  • Patent number: 4930851
Abstract: An image magnifying and pick-up system including a lighting light-guide device for guiding illuminating light to the surface of an observed portion of a specimen. The device includes a light-guide cap mounted at the front end of a lens tube. The light-guide cap includes an outer surface adapted to be abutted against the surface of the specimen, so that illuminating light from optical fibers is guided through the lens tube and light-guide cap may be projected on to the surface of the specimen. The light-guide cap is formed of a transparent material into a substantially hemi-spherical shape and has a central observation aperture, so that the illuminating light may be introduced via an annular end surface of the light-guide cap through the cap to the peripheral surface of the observation aperture.
