Abstract: A machine for the attachment of buttons provided with shanks to articles provided with buttonholes, having a lower tool which holds a button upper part and moves relative to the lower tool towards the latter. A device is disposed in front of the upper tool for widening the buttonhole to approximately the clear width of the shank to be seated through the buttonhole onto the underlying layer of material.

Abstract: A device for the correct angular positioning of fasteners such as buttons, rivets or the like in the tool of an attachment machine which has a trough-shaped guide rail for these fasteners arranged in front of the tool, the rail having a curved friction lining over at least part of the length of one side thereof and having, on its opposite side, a side wall which is spring-biased in the direction of the friction lining. A swingable slide is associated with this rail and pushes these fasteners forward which are provided with an indexing stop. A finger on the slide touches the indexing stop of the fastener in one position thereof. The pushing surface of the slide is disposed on the longitudinal center line of the feed trough, and the finger is separable from the slide and is arranged laterally of the longitudinal central line.

Abstract: A machine for the attachment of buttons, rivets or the like on clothing pieces, the lower parts of which are fed via rails from a magazine laterally oriented up to the vicinity of the attachment position and from there are transferred into the attachment position. The rail which feeds the bottom parts in the edgewise position exits at an angle which is offset by about 90 degrees relative to the attachment position. Between the exit position and the attachment position there extends a circular arc-shaped slide surface starting tangentially from the exit area and running approximately tangentially into the attachment position. A rotatable ring section runs on the slide surface. The ring section, which is equipped on its front end with a reception pocket, transfers respectively one lower part into the attachment position and during its movement its ring-narrow-edge closes the exit of the feed rail.

Two different strength magnets are coordinated to the upper tool ram, the latter being spring-biased in the reverse direction, such that the weaker electromagnet which sits in the range of a cross-sectionally-smaller step of the upper tool ram surrounds the upper tool ram in ring-like manner and the stronger electromagnet has a core which core forms a pot-shaped recess for moving a plate armature therein, the latter being arranged on the free end of the upper tool ram.

Abstract: Fastener for bands or the like, particularly on pants, shirts, pockets or the like, comprising a rail provided with catches and a slide running on the rail, which slide has an angular-shaped folding lever, the shorter angle leg of which engages in the catch recesses of the rail in the folded-up position of the folding lever; the folding lever has a window-like opening for the free passage therethrough of a cover strip, the latter lying on the outside in front of the rail, such that the window opening - frame leg, which frame leg points to the slide bottom plate, engages in the catch recesses of the rail on its center section. In the locked position of the folding lever, the window opening - frame leg extends in the parallel flat-position relative to the cover of the rail guide tunnel.

Abstract: A machine for the attachment of rivets, buttons, or the like, particularly to clothing pieces, with an upper tool and a lower tool and with magazine chambers for upper and lower parts, from which chambers the upper and lower parts, respectively, are brought via feed rails into the region of the working position. The magazine chambers are arranged floor-like one above the other. A single slide is coordinated to both chambers, the slide being moved up and down in front of the rear wall of the chambers. On its front wide face the slide is equipped with stroke and sorting ledges which are inclined downwardly in the direction of one of the side walls. In the upper position the ledges lie flush in alignment with the discharge openings of the magazine chambers - side walls.
