  • Patent number: 6699354
Abstract: The gluing together of flat materials between belt faces (21, 22), facing one another, of belt conveyors (15, 16) arranged over one another is effected usually with the application of heat and pressure. However there are pressure sensitive materials that with the gluing may only be impinged with a slight pressure. Here already the weight of the sagging belt face (21) of the upper belt conveyor may lead to an excessive pressure loading and a permanent deformation of the materials caused by way of this. The invention solves the mentioned problem in that the upper belt face (21) located above the materials to be glued is held up without contact, e.g., by means of suction nozzles or magnets. The sagging of the belt face (21) is alleviated by way of this and an undesirable high pressure loading of the materials to be glued is avoided. By way of the contactless holding-up of the belt face (21) the suction nozzles or magnets do not interfere.

  • Patent number: 6309506
Abstract: Flexible surface structures (21, 22, 27) are often glued to one another with the application of pressure and heat. Known laminating devices for this purpose are limited in their efficiency. If greater laminating efficiency is to be achieved, an existing laminating device has to be exchanged for a more powerful laminating device. The invention proposes a laminating device constructed in modular fashion and having a plurality of successive laminating stations (12, 14). In this way, the laminating efficiency can be increased by adding new laminating stations (12, 14) to already existing laminating stations (12, 14) which thus do not need to be replaced. In addition, it is proposed that a drying station (17) be provided between successive laminating stations (12, 14), in which drying station the surface structures (21, 22) laminated in the first laminating station (12) are dried before they are joined with a further surface structure (27) in the succeeding second laminating station (14).

  • Patent number: 6261366
Abstract: A suction device for a double-point coating system is used to remove excess powder (3′) from a double-coated fabric web (1). The suction device has a powder-suction element (4) to remove excess powder, a fabric-web-suction unit to align the fabric web and at least one beater roller (8, 9) to loosen excess powder. The fabric web suction unit has at least one suction roller (5, 6, 7) that can rotate to convey the fabric web (1) and support it. That way, the fabric webs can be transported tension-free, which largely prevents adhesion of individual dots of paste and clogging of the textile.
