  • Patent number: 11937659
Abstract: A visor mechanism for a safety helmet, in particular for emergency services, includes a visor, which is slidably mounted relative to an outer shell of the safety helmet in order to cover a front region of the safety helmet, and a visor adjuster, which is coupled to the visor so that the visor can be slid by a sliding actuation of the visor adjuster. The visor mechanism has a locking assembly coupled to the visor and the visor adjuster, which locking assembly, when locked, blocks the sliding of the visor, and which locking assembly (6), when released, allows the visor to slide. The locking assembly can be released by a release actuation of the visor adjuster. A safety helmet may include a visor mechanism of this type.

  • Patent number: 11696610
Abstract: The invention relates to a protective helmet, comprising an outer shell (1) for distributing impact forces and an antenna (2) for transferring a radio signal, which antenna is arranged at least partially inside the outer shell (1). The outer shell (1) consists of a main material in a main region (5). The protective helmet is characterized in that the outer shell (1) consists of a cut-out material in a cut-out region (6), the cut-out material having a lesser damping effect on the radio signal in comparison with the main material. The invention further relates to a method for producing a protective helmet.

  • Patent number: 8533870
Abstract: A protective helmet has a helmet cap and a shock-absorbing inner fitment in the form of a grille-like basket. The basket includes bosses pointing to the inner wall of the helmet cap exercising a shock-absorbing function based on their plastic deformation under an impact. The basket may be fastened to the helmet cap with a shock-absorbing effect directly at the fastening point, by providing a fastening boss for the fastening of the basket to the helmet cap. The fastening boss includes an end face having a through opening for firm contact against the helmet cap. The helmet cap has a through opening aligned with the through opening in the end face. Correspondingly, bolt-shaped fastener abut against the outer side of the helmet cap and the inner side of the end face, and are connected such that the end face pressed against the inner wall of the helmet cap.

  • Patent number: 7757309
Abstract: A protective helmet having a shock-resistant helmet shell having a cut out for establishing a visor opening and a visor panel arranged on the outer side of the helmet shell pivotably around a pivot joint is provided with a vison panel arranged pivotably on the inner side of the helmet shell. The vision panel has at least one lateral end mounted displaceably in a guide which forma a curved section whose virtual pivot point lies outside the lateral end at a distance behind the lateral end of the vision panel so that the path of movement of the vision panel matches to the inner contour of the helmet shell. This makes possible to guide the vision panel inside the helmet shell at a substantially uniform distance from the inner side of the helmet shell, with the result that a minimum space requirement for the vision panel is required on the inner side of the helmet shell.

  • Patent number: 7555788
Abstract: The invention relates to an integral helmet comprising a shock resistant helmet shell (1) which covers the top part of the head to the neck and the ear area of a user, defines a visor opening (3) at lower and top edges and is complimented by the chin area defining the lower side of the visor opening in such a way that a slip opening (19) which totally encompasses the neck of the helmet user is formed, wherein the chin area is connected to the helmet shell (1) which upwardly pivots around a horizontal axis of rotation for enlarging the slip opening (19). The aim of said invention is to develop a light identically safe helmet. For this purpose, the chin area comprises a chin element (8) which is connected to a lateral area (4) of the shell (1) in such a way that it is pivotable around a rotatable joint having a substantially horizontal axis in order to increase the slip opening (19).
