  • Patent number: 4928428
Abstract: A housing outlet comprises an inner closure frame provided with a C-shaped receiving groove and having a plurality of sections and a locking bar assembly having a single handle and a plurality of locking bars which are slidably supported in the receiving groove. The locking bars have a U-shaped cross section with two legs having side grooves extending over the full length of the legs and limited by a lower web having a thickness of S1 and an upper web having a thickness of S2. The receiving groove has a height H.sub.1 which is greater than the height H.sub.2 of the locking bar by the thickness S1 of the lower web. The receiving groove and the locking bar have a cross-section which is the same in all sections of the closure frame. The receiving groove has an inwardly extending edge strip, which has a height H3 smaller than the height N of the side grooves.

  • Patent number: 4739583
Abstract: A corner deviating device for a locking bar brace supported in a casement frame of window or a door has a one-piece housing which is provided in a corner region with a mounting opening for a spring band having drivers at its ends, the mounting opening being closable by an angular cover. One leg of the housing is insertable into a receiving groove of one wing of the casement frame, while the other leg of the housing is fixable on an edge strip of an associated receiving groove of another wing of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4662054
Abstract: An insulating strip for a heat-insulated composite section with two metal rail sections and at least one insulating strip positioned between them and intended for windows, doors, or facades. The insulating strip has a rectangular basic cross-section with anchoring webs along the edge that are accommodated on at least one side in recesses in the metal rail sections. The anchoring webs at at least one end of the insulating strip end at a distance from the face that corresponds to the rectangular basic cross-section.

  • Patent number: 4646408
Abstract: A device for fastening together the parts of a heat-insulated composite section consisting of two metal sections and of at least one insulating rod has knurling rollers that shape exterior groove webs, forces them against the insulating rod, provides them with a knurled strip. The knurling roller has conical, toothed, circumferential surfaces. The bottom land between each pair of teeth parallels the conical circumferential surface. The knurling rollers are mounted in a tensioning mechanism that consists of two annular disks in such a way that it can be displaced along its axis. It can be displaced 0.5 to 1 mm to each side out of an intermediate position. The axial flotation make it possible to compensate for errors in alignment between the knurling roller and the composite section that occur while the groove webs are being shaped as a result of undesirable superimposition of the tolerances of the separate parts. The knurling rollers are mounted in such a way that they cannot rotate on powered shafts.

  • Patent number: 4638613
Abstract: In a glass-metal structure for a front wall or a roof of a building, comprising a metal framework and glass panels, the framework is formed of hollow elongated main frame sections and hollow elongated crossbar frame sections extending transversally of the main frame sections. Cover plates overlapping the edges of the glass panels are screwed by bolts to the frame sections. Each frame section and each cover plate is provided with anchoring grooves receiving sealing strips. Each frame section has gutters for condensed water and grooves for percolating waters. Each crossbar frame section has a main hollow chamber and an additional hollow chamber formed between the gutters of the crossbar frame section.

  • Patent number: 4553367
Abstract: A frame for a door or window with at least one brace, manufactured from hollow, preferably heat-insulated composite sections. A filler is positioned at the butt joint between a frame section and a brace section. The filler matches the contours of a groove in the frame section. The filler extends into the brace section. The filler has an intermediate filler slot that extends parallel to the axis of the brace section. The filler also has a filler bore that extends parallel to the axis of the frame section and empties into the filler slot. Putty is forced into the filler bore and slot to seal off the butt joint from the front of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4397116
Abstract: A fire resistant door has at least one swingable leaf which includes a glass plate. The swingable leaf comprises an inner frame composed of one or two tubular subframes having a general plane and a rigid outer cover frame. The outer frame has lateral walls surrounding the inner frame. The inner frame is formed with walls extending parallel to the general plane of the sub-frame, which walls together with lateral walls of the outer sub-frame form grooves. A support element is mounted in each groove which has an arresting projection whereas the lateral walls are formed with arresting webs extending towards the arresting projections and connected to the latter forming a force and form-locking connection.

  • Patent number: 4395862
Abstract: A composite frame particularly for windows, doors or the like is composed of two metal sub-frames spaced apart from each other. Each of the sub-frame is formed with outwardly extending flanges to define the respective recesses therebetween. A pair of elongated insulating members are inserted into said respective recesses to interconnect the sub-frames to each other. The insulating members are provided with grooves of circular shape to receive the outwardly extending flanges which are deformed to engage the insulating members. At least one elongated gripping element is provided in the assembly which is inserted into a recess formed in each insulating member; the gripping element bears against the respective one of the outwardly extending flanges thereby increasing the coefficient of friction of the insulating member relative to the metal sub-frames.

  • Patent number: 4213236
Abstract: Two elongated metallic profiles each formed with two pairs of flanges each of which forms a longitudinally extending groove are positioned with the two grooves of each profile parallel and opening toward the two grooves of another such profile. An elongated bar of insulating material having a pair of longitudinally extending sides is fitted between each groove of each profile and the corresponding groove of the other profile. This forms a longitudinally extending passage defined on two opposite sides by the two insulating bars and on the other two sides by the two profiles. A tool is displaced through this passage so as plastically and permanently to deform the inner flanges outwardly and into intimate tight contact with the bars.
