Abstract: A resistor bypass circuit for a series lighting circuit includes a plurality of serially connected light sources and a bypass resistor being connected in parallel with at least one of the respective light sources, each respective light source being low wattage and being capable operating on a one hundred percent duty cycle as desired.
Abstract: A light set and method of manufacturer with first and second spaced apart conducting wire conducting wires with one of the wires having an insulated coating and the other bare uninsulated. An LED chip is surfaced mounted at intervals along the wires. The insulated wire has its insulation removed at the intervals which may weaken the wire. The bare wire does not require removal of insulation and thus remains stronger and resists kinking. Alternative structures and method of creating an insulated coating are disclosed.
Abstract: A central shaft power connector for lighted ornaments is disclosed. A central support pole, such as for a Christmas tree is made in two parts joinable with an electrical and mechanical connector which joins the pole parts and simultaneously connects power or other circuits from one part to the other. The connector has two engaging sections and an outrigger platform which locates a connector off to the side of the poles but in alignment. Final alignment is obtained by a key and keyway in the connector parts.
Abstract: A projection light source system and method of manufacture are shown in various embodiments. In one embodiment a single projector head (12) includes a light source (95) which projects through a condenser lens (90) and then an image transparency 120 which may be film or other digital media, and through an imaging lens 140 which is adjustable by rotation of a threaded cap 150. Adjustment of the image target location is achieved in part via an adjustment in the flange (20) which is rotatably connected to the head. Sequencing of images from a plurality of heads which are internally, remotely or IP controllable creates the ability project a succession of fixed images from a succession of heads either overlapping their target point or adjacent to create the effect of motion.

Abstract: Enhancements to ornamental or holiday lighting are disclosed including remote control ornamental illumination with color pallet control whereby a user can vary the color/intensity/appearance of an individual bulb or entire light string by selecting the electronic address of the bulb and selecting its attribute. Further disclosures include: motion responsive lights which respond to sensed movement, gesture controlled lights, adjustable white color/white led sets, connectable multi-function lights, controller to sequence lights to music or other input source, rotating projection led light/tree top/table top unit, and remote controlled sequencing icicle lights and ornament lighting system.
