  • Patent number: 6246393
Abstract: A wireless type coordinate reading apparatus, in which a coordinate value of a position indicated by a coordinate indicator can be calculated in high resolution, the coordinate indicator can be made simple, and further widths of a pen shaft and a pen tip can be narrowed is disclosed. A coordinate reading apparatus is constituted by AC magnetic field generating means for generating an AC magnetic field; a coordinate indicator having a magnetic material for producing a magnetic pulse caused by the Large Barkhausen effect when the magnetic material is positioned in the magnetic field generated from the AC magnetic field generating means; magnetic field detecting means for detecting the magnetic pulse caused by the Large Barkhausen effect; and coordinate calculating means connected to the magnetic field detecting means, for calculating a position indicated by the coordinate indicator in response to a signal produced based upon the magnetic pulse detected by the magnetic field detecting means.

  • Patent number: 6222639
Abstract: An apparatus for producing color conversion table comprises a target color characteristic description table described with a relationship between input color data of a target color output apparatus and the color value of a color output therefrom, a reproduction color characteristic description table described with a relationship between input color data of a reproduction color output apparatus and the color value of a color output therefrom, data value conversion means for converting data values of input color data to data values of black corresponding to the reproduction color output apparatus, and evaluation means for comparing color value data of the target color output apparatus with respect to input data and color value data of the reproduction color output apparatus corresponding to input data that includes the converted black data values, whereby post-conversion color data values are computed from the compared results of the evaluation means to thereby produce a color conversion table.

  • Patent number: 6028617
Abstract: A method of recording an image in which a multicolor image is recorded by moving in a subscanning direction a head having recording elements arrayed in a main scanning direction to make variable the density or area ratio of each pixel in correspondence with an image density, and by combining the colors of yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, wherein each color is recorded by dots arranged at a fractional dot cycle in the sub canning direction, so as to prevent color moire due to misregistration.

  • Patent number: 6005596
Abstract: To suppress color moire in a color image recording apparatus, a method for recording a color image by forming record dots of at least first through third colors on a recording medium in a plurality of lines of record dots each extending in a main scan direction and a plurality of rows of record dots each extending in a sub-scan direction, includes the step of forming the record dots of first through third colors with a different disposition pattern effective to avoid the occurrence of color moire.

  • Patent number: 5969712
Abstract: To realize a coordinate reading apparatus which is capable of easily setting a particular function to a switch provided on a coordinate indicator, and an interface unit and a coordinate reading system for the coordinate reading apparatus. A coordinate detecting section 21 detects a coordinate value for a position indicated by a coordinate indicator 3 and a switch status. A function selecting means 22 determines that a menu provided on a tablet 2 is read from the coordinate value and the status, to store functional data assigned to the menu in a memory means 23. A conversion status determining means 24 determines that the inputted status coincide with the status to be converted stored in the memory means 23, to notify coincidence to a conversion status output means 25. Receiving the notification, the conversion status output means 25 outputs data to be outputted stored in the memory means 23 instead of inputted switch status.

  • Patent number: 5764387
Abstract: A color correction device which minimizes color differences throughout an area to be subjected to color reproduction includes a dynamic range conversion circuit for the colors cyan, magenta, and yellow, a separation circuit for separating the colors into high order bits and low order bits, and a CMY table reference for obtaining CMY table values corresponding to the high order bits. An interpolation circuit performs an interpolation process based on the low order bits and the CMY table values. A K-table reference obtains four K-table values corresponding to black, and a CMY correction circuit corrects for the values of cyan, magenta, and yellow based on three interpolated data from the interpolation circuit and three data obtained by the K-table reference.
