Patents Assigned to SENSOR INTERNATIONAL, LLC
  • Patent number: 11467422
Abstract: According to embodiments of the present application, a carbon dioxide sensing color changeable dye can comprise a carbon dioxide status indicator, a solvent, a polymer wherein the carbon dioxide status indicator is dispersed, an optional plasticizer, and an optional agent to facilitate mixing. The color changeable dye is a first color in the presence of a carbon dioxide rich environment and is capable of changing to a second color upon exposure to atmospheric condition for a period of time corresponding to the intended use time of a restricted, disposable or limited use product. Methods of making and using the color changeable dye and apparatuses incorporating such dye are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11346786
Abstract: The present technology includes a color changeable indicator that changes color upon exposure of the indicator to high pressure and comprises at least one reagent releasing layer, a transition layer disposed on the reagent releasing layer, a color changeable layer disposed on the transition layer, and a non-porous protectant encompassing the reagent releasing layer, the transition layer and the color changeable layer. An additional reagent releasing layer can be located between the transition layer and the color changeable layer. The indicators provide simple, reliable, and cost effective detection means for detecting whether a product has been exposed to high pressure, e.g. high pressure pasteurization, and may find use in applications such as food and beverage processing and/or packaging and medical applications.

  • Patent number: 10324042
Abstract: An apparatus, method and kit includes one or more use protocol indicators having a color changeable dye, the dye being translucent or having a first color upon immediate exposure to an environment and for a defined time thereafter and the dye changing color after exposure to the environment for the defined time. A dual environment indicator includes a first indicator color changeable dye being translucent or having a first color upon immediate exposure to a first environment and changing color after exposure to a second environment and a second indicator color changeable dye being translucent or having a first color upon immediate exposure to the second environment and for a defined time thereafter and changing color after exposure to the second environment for the defined time. A time exposure indicator comprises at least one color changeable dye disposed to change color in a sequential manner.

  • Patent number: 9810671
Abstract: An apparatus with time controlled color change indication comprises an apparatus includes a disposable, limited or restricted use product and an oxygen sensing color changeable dye disposed on a portion of the apparatus, the dye being translucent or having a first color upon application and for a defined time thereafter and the dye changing color after exposure to oxygen for the defined time. For example, a packaging for containing a product for human consumption has a portion with a color changeable dye disposed thereon. The dye changes color after being exposed to oxygen for a controlled and predetermined period of time indicating that the product for human consumption should no longer be consume or has decreased in freshness, quality of taste or potency.
