Abstract: Components, such as bedding components including mattresses are disclosed herein. The components include a first layer, a fire-resistant layer affixed to the first layer or an optional additional layer, and a fire-resistant sock. The first layer, the optional additional layer, and fire-resistant layer are disposed within the fire-resistant sock.
Abstract: A mattress is disclosed that includes a sleeping side, a cushioning layer, an inner support compartment, and a fire-containing compartment disposed between the sleeping side and the inner support compartment. The fire-containing compartment includes first and second layers of fire-resistant material selected from the group consisting of a barrier sheet, a high loft batt, and a fire-resistant chemical. The cushioning layer is disposed between the first and second layers of fire-resistant material.
Abstract: A fire-retardant mattress having at least one sleeping side is disclosed that has an inner support compartment with a generally parallelepiped shape with a top side opposite the sleeping side and a fire-containing compartment covering the top side of the inner support compartment and located between the sleeping side and the inner support compartment. The fire-containing compartment includes a first fire-resistant layer consisting essentially of natural fibers, the first fire-resistant layer being in direct contact with the top side of the inner support compartment, a second fire-resistant layer consisting essentially of natural fibers, the second fire-resistant layer located separate from the first self supporting layer of fire-resistant material, and a plurality of combustible cushioning layers positioned between the first and second fire-resistant layers.

Abstract: A method is provided of displaying the progress, through a plurality of separate entities each externally linked by a network to a display and a data repository, of an order for a product. The method comprises receiving purchase order information, order status information, manufacturing status information associated with the order, and shipper status information. This information is stored in the data repository and in response to user input, at least a current status of the purchase order information, the order status information, the manufacturing status information, and the shipper status information, is displayed on the display.
Abstract: A fire-retardant mattress that compartmentalizes bedding material between layers of fire-resistant material. The mattress includes an inner support compartment, a first layer of fire-resistant material adjacent to at least one side of the inner support compartment, at least one layer of cushioning material adjacent to the first layer of fire-resistant material, and a second layer of fire-resistant material adjacent to the at least one cushioning layer, the second layer of fire-resistant material distal to the first layer of fire-resistant material.

Abstract: An innerspring mattress having an edge support insert that overlaps the upper and lower border wires of the mattress. The edge support insert has a C-shaped cross-section or the cross-section may gradually thicken from interior corners of the “C” toward the center forming a putative E-shaped cross-section. The edge support may be a continuous unit that is installed around the entire perimeter of the innerspring mattress assembly. The simple cross-section allows efficient extrusion manufacturing and is efficiently installed around the innerspring mattress coil matrix.

Abstract: A mattress is provided having an innerspring, at least one upholstery layer, which includes at least one foam layer, and quilt panel layers. The upholstery layer has an edged support layer, a steel wire grid laminated to the edged support layer, and a firm foam layer laminated to the steel wire grid. The steel wire grid serves to provide support and to reduce the sagging effect caused when adding additional foam layers. The firm foam layer provides support distributed even across the mattress and may be used alone or in combination with the steel wire grid.
Abstract: A mattress including an innerspring, upholstery topper layers including at least one foam layer, and quilt panel layers. At least one upholstery foam layer includes a firming edge of foam about its perimeter. The firming edge of the upholstery foam layer functions to provide a firmer mattress edge without compromising the thickness of the mattress or requiring additional materials or labor operations during manufacturing.
