The vehicle trim component may comprise a base comprising a compartment; a cover coupled to the base configured for movement relative to the compartment; a blocker coupled to the base configured to selectively engage with the cover; and a mechanism coupled to the blocker. The mechanism may be configured to move the blocker between a deployed position when the cover is not engaged with the blocker and a retracted position when the cover is engaged with the blocker.
