  • Patent number: 8013836
Abstract: Upon receipt of operation entry for processing and editing a currently displayed slide, an operation information generating section generates operation information corresponding to this entry. An operation information reflecting section performs editing on the basis of the operation information and stores the operation information regarding the editing in a storage section. Upon receipt of slide data from the server device, the operation information reflecting section reads operation information of the past regarding this slide data, and generates a display screen in such a manner that editing corresponding to the read operation information is reflected in the received slide data. This makes it possible to display slide data stored in the server device on an image display device in a manner that a user wants, without increasing load on the server device.

  • Patent number: 7713410
Abstract: In a waste water treatment apparatus and/or method, waste water containing aminoethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide is introduced into a first denitrification tank within a first waste water treatment apparatus. Malodorous gas generated in the first waste water treatment apparatus is decomposed and treated in a second waste water treatment apparatus where another waste water is treated as another system. The second waste water treatment apparatus has a second nitrification tank including a semi-anaerobic section. The malodorous gas is introduced from the first waste water treatment apparatus into a scrubber. The malodorous gas is treated by sludge which is circulated between the second nitrification tank and the scrubber.

  • Patent number: 7632001
Abstract: A side-light type backlight includes a light source having a plurality of LEDs and a light guide plate, where opposing end surfaces of the light guide plate define light incidence surfaces, with the plurality of LEDs being arranged at one of the light incidence surfaces. A number, M, of the LEDs are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the light incidence surface of the light guide plate, and are electrically connected such that there are a plurality of groups of the LEDs with each group having N LEDs mutually adjacently arranged in series. The groups are adjacently arranged in a longitudinal line, and at least one of the groups of LEDs is a separate parallel connection from an adjacent group of LEDs. The plurality of LEDs includes LEDs having a plurality of colors, and the LEDs arranged in series include LEDs having different colors.

  • Patent number: 7625484
Abstract: A water treatment apparatus has a turbidity meter, which is a detection part, for detecting a generation state of bubbles in a micro/nano bubble generation state confirmation tank, as a turbidity of treatment water. The water treatment apparatus also has a controller, which is a control part, for receiving an signal representing the turbidity of treatment water detected by the turbidity meter, to control openings of air flow control valves in an interlocked manner in response to the signal, so that the amount of air flowing through the control valves is automatically controlled. The openings of the air flow control valves are controlled in an interlocked manner by the controller in such a way that the signal representing turbidity shows that the treatment water within the confirmation tank is whitely turbid (i.e., the turbidity shows not less than a specified value).

  • Patent number: 7582261
Abstract: A sample detection device includes a disk substrate which allows a light beam to be transmitted, and the substrate has flow paths each of which allows polymers to be injected therein, wherein the substrate further includes a guiding groove, provided in a perpendicular direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of each flow path, along which the light beam for detecting polymers scans. According to the sample detection device, it is possible to efficiently detect many kinds of polymers in accordance with respective separation rates of the polymers.

  • Patent number: 4905051
Abstract: A fixing means for an electrophotographic copier includes a first roller and a second roller which are compressed against each other and serve to fix toner images on an image transferring medium passed therebetween. A control means is programmed to operate the rollers such that the heating of the second roller is continued for a predetermined length of time or until the surface temperature of the second roller reaches a certain predetermined temperature level after the surface temperature of the first roller reaches another predetermined temperature level such that the second roller is prevented from cooling down suddenly after the fixing operation is started. In another aspect of the present invention, the size of the image transferring medium passed between the rollers is detected and the heaters for the rollers are controlled accordingly such that temperature variations on the roller surfaces can be reduced and hence the roller lifetimes can be improved.
