Patents Assigned to Shenzhen Syscan Technology Co. Limited
  • Patent number: 7264174
Abstract: A two-dimensional barcode includes a plurality of macro modules arranged in a two-dimensional array in a spiral sequence, each of macro modules includes a predetermined number of data unit modules for storing data codewords of a predetermined binary stream of bits, a predetermined number of cluster unit modules for storing a predetermined cluster number representing a location of the macro module, and a predetermined number of rim unit modules which possess a predetermined color to form a rim of the macro module. The rim unit modules of two adjacent macro modules are contrasting with each other to enhance identification of the respective macro module.

  • Patent number: 7175091
Abstract: An insert-type barcode reader has a body support with an insertion slot for receiving a card with barcode. A circuit board and a CIS component module electrically connected to the circuit board with each mounted to the body support to scan and process signals. A roller is mounted to the body support for movement relative to the CIS component module to allow the card to be properly guided into the insertion slot and tightly pressed onto the CIS component for accurate scanning of the barcode on the card. Two photoelectric sensors mounted to the body support are electrically connected to the circuit board for sensing the card entering and leaving the insertion slot to control starting, running and stopping of the scanning function of the CIS component module.

  • Publication number: 20040026511
Abstract: To facilitate the decoding of a 2D symbol (e.g., PDF417), a plurality of positioning lines are attached to the 2D symbol. Depending on implementation, these substantially parallel positioning lines may be provided on at least one side of the symbol or superimposed on the symbol. A scanning device is provided to capture an image of the symbol together with these positioning lines that are then detected to determine an orientation of the 2D symbol. In some cases, these positioning lines are used to correct images with distortion.

  • Patent number: 6690420
Abstract: An integrated circuit architecture of contact image sensor for generating bi-level images and associated method are disclosed. The architecture comprises an image sensor, an amplifier, an analyzing circuit and a comparator, in one particular embodiment, it further comprises an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM). The amplifier is coupled to the image sensor and receives electronic signals therefrom and further receives pairs of gain and offset from the EEPROM. The electronic signals are adjusted in the amplifier respectively and sequentially in accordance to the pairs of gain and offset. The analyzing circuit determines a dynamic threshold to the comparator that subsequently produces the bi-level images.
