Abstract: A multi-configuration apparatus includes a first frame assembly positionable in a first plane and wheels secured thereto such that it is moveable along a surface, a second frame assembly moveably secured to the first frame assembly, and a third frame assembly detachably secured to the second frame assembly. The second frame assembly is moveable between at least a first configuration to move the third frame assembly into a substantially coplanar relationship with the first plane, and a second configuration to move the third frame assembly in a raised configuration relative to the first frame assembly and in a second plane that is substantially parallel to the first plane. The apparatus further includes a support secured to the third frame assembly and wheels such that the third frame assembly is moveable along a surface when the third frame assembly is detached from the second frame assembly.

Abstract: A transportable jack system includes a jack disposed on a base. The base includes a base plate with a plurality of wheel openings formed therein, and a biasing member disposed between a wheel and the base plate. The biasing member is configured from a single piece of material consisting of a top horizontal portion, a bottom horizontal portion, and an angled middle portion disposed between the top horizontal portion and the bottom horizontal portion. The biasing member biases the base away from a ground surface when a load applied to the jack is below a predetermined threshold and deforms when the load is above the predetermined threshold, wherein the deformation allows the base plate to contact the ground surface.

Abstract: A creeper has a frame with a first end and a second end; a body cushion mounted at the first end; a head cushion mounted at the second end, and hingedly connected to the frame; and a plurality of wheel assemblies rotatably mounted to the frame. Each wheel assembly includes a wheel with an attachment member; a bracket having a first opening and a second opening; and first and second fasteners. The first opening in the bracket corresponds to a first opening in the frame, and the first fastener passes through the respective first openings. The second opening in the bracket corresponds to one of a second opening and a third opening in the frame, and the second fastener passes through the second opening of the bracket and one of the second or third openings to rotate the bracket between an operation and a storage position, respectively.

Abstract: One disclosed lifting apparatus includes a base, a receiving portion, first and second arms, and a support. The base has a proximal end, a distal end, and first and second opposed sides. The first side has a plurality of receiving areas spaced apart between the proximal and distal ends. The arms are rotatably coupled to the base for movement between lowered and raised positions, and are coupled to the receiving portion. The receiving portion is relatively near the base distal end when the first and second arms are at the lowered position, and the receiving portion is relatively distant to the base distal end when the first and second arms are at the raised position. The support rotatably extends from the first arm and automatically engages at least one of the receiving areas when the first and second arms move from the lowered position to the raised position.

Abstract: Jack stands having support arms that automatically rise to meet lifted loads are disclosed herein. According to one embodiment, a jack stand includes a base having a collar, a support arm, a locking mechanism, and a lifting mechanism. The support arm is movable within the collar and has a plurality of teeth defining grooves and ridges. The locking mechanism has a handle and a stopper and is rotatably coupled to the base at an axis of rotation for movement between a first position where the stopper engages at least one of the grooves to restrict the support arm from moving downwardly, and a second position where the support arm is movable upwardly and downwardly. The lifting mechanism is coupled to the base and is in communication with the support arm to automatically raise the support arm relative to the collar when the locking mechanism is moved to the second position.
