Abstract: A description is given of an ink jet printer having an ink jet print head which can be displaced parallel to a print line, and a print backing support used to support a recording medium, a covering device and a cleaning device for the ink nozzles of the ink jet print head. The covering device, the cleaning device and a supporting section for the recording medium are arranged on a rotatable disk within the printing area of the ink jet print head.
Abstract: A holding system for electronic modules, particularly for magnetic disk drives the holding system a withdrawable frame which can be inserted into a drive bay of an electronic data processing device, particularly a PC, and whose length corresponds to the depth of the drive bay, and further having a U-shaped bracket in whose U limbs first holes are provided for the passage of first fastening elements for fastening the bracket on lateral surfaces, directed parallel to the inserting direction, of the module, and second holes are provided for the passage of second fastening elements for fastening the bracket to the withdrawable frame. The fastening elements can be surrounded by damping elements consisting of an elastic material.
Abstract: A document-printing arrangement (8) having one or more paper paths (10, 110), via which one or different continuous paper webs (20, 120) can be fed to a printing station (14) equipped with a thermoprinting strip (32) and a backing roll (34). In order to compensate for transport speed tolerances, a paper bulge (66) is built up upstream of the printing station (14).

Abstract: The arrangement connects at least one module (M) to a power supply unit (SV) in an apparatus in such a way that a connection is provided when the power supply unit (SV) is switched on. In the apparatus is a contact element (KG, VE) which is located outside the module and has leading contacts and a device for current limitation (AS) of an initial current flow.
Abstract: Central processing units have two or more groups of in each case one processor, one memory and one coupler, the processor and memory are connected to exactly one coupler and the couplers are connected to one another. A memory area distributed uniformly over the address space is allocated disjointedly to each group by address interleaving and each coupler itself meets an access to the memory area allocated to its group and meets other accesses via the connection to the coupler concerned. The central processing units are provided with interfaces for building up multiple systems.
Abstract: A device for preparing and applying labels and a method of operating said device is provided. The device includes three parts: a roller transport track, a label dispenser and a label manipulator. The latter can pick up a label deposited by the label dispenser on the roller transport track and stick it at a predetermined point onto an object arranged in any desired way in a three-dimensional space.

Abstract: The present invention provides new cash registers which are suitable for use in catering companies and retail businesses. The cash registers can be easily adapted to the ergonomic requirements of a standing or seated operator. Various devices can optionally be installed in a wall located underneath a keypad surface and are covered by a front region of the keypad surface. The keypad surface can pivot to allow access to the various devices.
Abstract: A device for transporting a sheet (18) to be printed in a printer is described, with a carriage (14) which is designed for receiving the sheet and which can be displaced on a fixed stand (12) perpendicularly to the line direction between a starting position for inserting and removing the sheet and an end position moved into the printer. Mounted on the carriage (14) is a releasable clamping device (26) which comprises a bearing surface (22) for the sheet (18) and a clamping lever (35) spring-loaded in the clamping direction. The latter is provided with an actuating cam (48) which co-operates with a control bar (40) provided on the stand (12), in such a way that the clamping device (26) is opened in the starting position, closes after this starting position has been passed in the direction opposite to the end position and opens again when the carriage (14), coming from the end position, reaches the starting position.
Abstract: A description is given of scales (100) which are intended for retail outlets and can be adapted to various applications by being equipped with different input means (126, 130) and memory means (116, 118).

Abstract: A printer (10) for printing single sheets (126, 128) and at least one continuous paper strip (122) on a printing substrate plane (19), in which a single sheet (126, 128) is led up to the printing station (36, 56) from the operator side by being displaced manually on a feed table (20) and, in said printing station, can overlap the continuous paper strip (122), at least over part of the width of the latter. The continuous paper strip (122) is fed to the printing station (36, 56) from the operating side and the continuous paper feed channel (34) and the single-sheet feed channel (30) are each assigned a driven feed roller (98; 38) of a pair of feed rollers (100; 44). A mating roller (42) that is arranged on a rocker (48) can be pressed optionally against the driven feed roller (98; 38) of the continuous paper feed channel (34) or the single-sheet feed channel (30).
Abstract: In a memory device for storing data according to the FIFO principle, an input counter is provided having a value which is modified when data are written into a memory, and having a comparison unit that outputs a status signal concerning presence of data in the memory dependent on a comparison of the counter states. A scanning unit is arranged at the connection between the comparison unit and the input counter. The scanning unit scans the state of the input counter according to a clock signal and outputs the scan result to the comparison unit.
Abstract: For a fast and simple mounting and unmounting of guide rails for electrical components of electrical devices in guide rails, the guide rail set is provided, which is engaged in the frame parts by being placed against and axially displaced in the frame parts of the electrical device. An unmounting occurs, among other things, by pressing a spring tongue responsible for the engagement back to release the rail for movement for unmounting.
Abstract: Cooling and screening device for integrated circuits, have a metal plate (26) having integrally formed cooling projections (28) and having bores (34) extending from the upper side and bottom side of the metal plate (26). Inserted into these bores (34) are contact pins (39) whose free ends form soldering tips (38) which are intended for soldering into plated-through bores (40) of a printed circuit board (20).
Abstract: Power supply system having a buffered intermediate voltage which is supplied by an auxiliary voltage source in the event of failure of a principal voltage source, there being generated from the intermediate voltage by comparison with a threshold value a digital failure signal which both controls the auxiliary voltage source and is used to form a final failure signal.
