Abstract: A closure for a drinking bottle, including a securing element for releasably arranging the closure on a lid of the drinking bottle, a pretensioned pivot element which is arranged on the securing element so as to be pivotable away from said clamping element about a pivot axis, and a seal which is arranged on a pivot element that pivots out. The securing element includes a first clamping element, a second clamping element and a spring. The two clamping elements are arranged on one another so as to be linearly displaceable in one direction and the spring is arranged between the two clamping elements in the direction of displacement.
