Patents Assigned to Sika Chemie GmbH
  • Patent number: 7210276
Abstract: The invention relates to a wooden floor, consisting of a hardenable adhesive (12) which is painted onto a floor base (10) in a continuous layer, and covering elements (16) consisting of wood or a wood material that are joined to the adhesive in its entirety by their surface (14) to be glued. According to the invention, the adhesive layer (12) has a thickness of 0.5 to 5 mm and the combined tension and shear strength of the adhesive (12), in its hardened state, is les than that of the floor base (10) and is at most 1.2 N/mm2, in order to obtain a floor covering with excellent dimensional stability.

  • Patent number: 6602973
Abstract: A method for producing a one-component sealing and coating compound with a polyurethane base. The method provides a simpler means of production as well as guarantees improved storage stability of the compounds produced, and comprises the following steps: agitating a mixture of poly components and one diisocyanate component to obtain an isocyanate prepolymer with a residual content of monomeric diisocyanate of >2 wt per ct; dispersing pigments and inorganic fillers in the mixture and adding a solvent whilst agitating, the residual content of monomeric diisocyanate reacting with the moisture provided by the fillers so as to obtain a H2O content of <0.01 wt per ct in the reaction mixture; adding a H2O— reactive latent hardener and optionally, at least one catalyst, and airtight packing of the resulting sealing and coating compound.

  • Patent number: 6077884
Abstract: A blend of epoxy-amine adducts are useful as emulsifiers of aqueous epoxy resin dispersions comprises (A-1) one or more epoxy-amine adduct(s) obtained by the reaction of (i) one or more aromatic, cycloaliphatic or novolac epoxy compound(s) and (ii) one or more amine-terminated polyalkylene glycol(s) having a molecular weight of from 700-5000 and an ethyleneoxide content of at least 60% by weight in an equivalent ratio of amine-terminated polyalkylene glycol(s) to epoxy compound(s) of from 0.01:1 to 0.9:1; (A-2) one or more epoxy-amine adduct(s) derived from the reaction of (i) one or more aliphatic epoxy compound(s) and (ii) one or more amine-terminated polyalkylene glycol(s) having a molecular weight of from 700-5000 and an ethyleneoxide content of at least 60% by weight in an equivalent ratio of amine-terminated polyalkylene glycol(s) to epoxy compound(s) of from 0.01:1 to 0.

  • Patent number: 5415689
Abstract: In order to obtain a two-component epoxy resin/zinc dust priming coat which for ecological reasons requires little or no solvent, the powdery or flaky zinc, reactive in water, is dispersed in a water-free, water emulsible epoxy resin binder (component A). Component A is mixed immediately before being applied with a water-diluted or water-dissolved polyamine hardener (component B).

  • Patent number: 5393567
Abstract: The invention concerns a zinc-containing corrosion-protecting undercoating agent for steel surfaces. The undercoating agent, which contains no organic solvents, consists of a mixture of dry, water-emulsifiable dispersion agent in powder form and water-reactive zinc in powder or flake form which are mixed with water immediately before treatment. The corrosion-protection properties of undercoating agents prepared in this way are as good as those of prior art single-component zinc-dust undercoating agents using only organic solvents.
