  • Patent number: 11466474
Abstract: A magnetic lock has a magnetically operable latch having a magnetically repellable or attractable latch element. A magnetic operating device spaced from the latch has a first magnet with a respective magnetic direction and a second magnet with a respective magnetic direction. The first magnet is rotatable between a latched position with its magnetic direction generally parallel to and pointing oppositely to the magnetic direction of the second magnet for contracting a magnetic field formed by the first and second magnets, and a release position generally parallel to and with its magnetic direction pointing the same as the second magnet for extending the magnetic field to and repelling or attracting the latch element.

  • Patent number: 11421457
Abstract: A hinge supports a door panel having a door edge in a door frame having a frame edge in a closed position of the door. A door part fixed to the door edge defines first and second parallel door axes in the gap between the door edge and frame edge, and a frame part fixed to the frame edge defines first and second parallel frame axes recessed in the door frame. A first link has one end pivoted on the door panel at the first door axis and an opposite end pivoted on the frame part at the first frame axis, and a second link separate from the first link has one end pivoted on the door part at the second door axis and an opposite end pivoted on the frame part at the second frame axis.

  • Patent number: 11365572
Abstract: A door-operating assembly has first and second subassemblies each having a housing, a magnet, a sleeve carrying the sleeve and rotatable in the respective housing about an axis, an actuator for rotating the first sleeve about the respective axis, and a rotation limiter restricting rotation of the respective sleeve and magnet. The magnets in a first position repel and push the respective sleeves axially away from each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective in a first direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective in a second rotation direction on the second sleeve. Conversely, the magnets in a second position attract and pull the sleeves axially toward each other such that the first rotation limiter is effective against the first rotation direction on the first sleeve and the second rotation limiter is effective against the second rotation direction on the second sleeve.

  • Patent number: 11346128
Abstract: A door-operating assembly has an operating device having a device housing and a device magnet and rotatable in the housing about a first axis between a first functional position and a second functional position, and a status indicator that is coupled with the operating device and has an indicator housing and an indicator magnet movable in the indicator housing along the first axis between a first display position and a second display position. The magnets are so oriented that rotation of the device magnet about the first axis from the respective first functional position into the respective second functional position displaces the indicator magnet axially of the first axis from the first display position into the second display position.

  • Patent number: 8156619
Abstract: A method of making a hinge has the steps of forming a region of a piece of sheet metal with a groove and then bending the piece of sheet metal to form the region into an eye with the groove opening inwardly into the eye so that the piece of sheet metal with the eye forms a first leaf. A pivot pin with a radially outwardly projecting thickened region is fitted and pressed into the eye such that the radially thickened region radially elastically widens the eye.
