Patent number: 4422079Abstract: An apparatus for registering cards for printing in time recorders and the like uses a punch and die to form perforations which are co-linear with the printed information on the card. The perforations are sensed on subsequent insertions of the card and are used to prevent further insertion of the card and register the card in position so that each printing on the card will be made below previous printings.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 1981Date of Patent: December 20, 1983Assignee: Simplex Time Recorder Co.Inventor: George Franke

Patent number: 4415801Abstract: A printer countwheel mechanism in a time stamp machine keeps a running count of the number of groups of documents stamped by automatically advancing a countwheel to the next highest number when all documents in the group have been stamped. A document group comprises one or more documents. Each document in the group is stamped with the same countwheel number. When stamping single documents, i.e. groups consisting of only one document, the countwheel is advanced every stamping operation so that every document is stamped with a different number. When stamping duplicates, i.e. groups of two documents, the countwheel is advanced every other stamping operation so that duplicates are stamped with the same number. The mechanism may also be disengaged when it is not necessary to keep a count of the number of documents stamped.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1981Date of Patent: November 15, 1983Assignee: Simplex Time Recorder Co.Inventor: George Franke

Patent number: 4322831Abstract: A programmed digital secondary clock which functions as a master clock, a sub-master clock or a slave clock. The master clock maintains an updated real time count based on a 50 hz or 60 hz ac line or digital oscillator signal, displays the count, and serially transmits digital information representative of the updated real time count for use by a slave clock. The sub-master clock, receives an hourly or twice-a-day correction signal from a conventional master clock or a conventional electronic receiver, corrects the real time count, displays the corrected count, and serially transmits digital information representative of the corrected real time count for use by a slave clock. Identical programmed digital secondary clocks can be connected in daisy chain. The first clock can operate as a master clock or as a sub-master clock. The following clocks can be operated as slave clocks.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1978Date of Patent: March 30, 1982Assignee: Simplex Time Recorder Co.Inventor: Ronald H. Peterson

Patent number: 4063071Abstract: A flexitime recorder for informing workers of the respective actual times they have worked during a day's work program of work time including a break time as well as of a set work time within the day's work time less any break work time whereby each worker is apprised of the amount of his overtime or undertime with respect to the set time in which a programming means generates a first signal representing the day's program of work time and including the break time represented by an absence of the first signal and a second output signal representing a set work time within the day's program and in which a first gate responsive to the first signal couples timing pulses from a timing pulse generator to individually operable switches associated with storage counters, each of which is associated with an individual worker and in which a second counter responsive to the output of the first gate and to the second output signal of the programmer passes timing pulses to an additional counter so as to indicate set time.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 1976Date of Patent: December 13, 1977Assignee: Simplex Time Recorder Co.Inventors: Erich Willmann, Gunter Trischler

Patent number: 4041503Abstract: The present invention relates to an attendance time recorder having a printing device for printing times on a data medium such as a time card. The arrangement includes a printing head adapted to support printing types and a plurality of adjacently disposed number wheels of annular form with internal teeth for indexing by engagement with an indexing pawl and retaining means for the data medium. The retaining means and the printing head are adjustable according to a program and a drive is provided for effecting linear sliding movement of the printing head relative to the retaining means.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1976Date of Patent: August 9, 1977Assignee: Simplex Time RecorderInventors: Wilfried Michel, Hartmut Reichert, Erich Willmann
