Abstract: A water closet carrier assembly is used for supporting a wall-mounted toilet and flow connecting the wall-mounted toilet to a waste drain line. The water closet carrier assembly includes a faceplate having a front face with a drain opening that sealingly joins to a distal end of a closet carrier nipple. A second distal end of the closet carrier nipple sealingly joins to a wall-mounted toilet. The faceplate is adjustably joined to an anchoring system that replaces traditional systems connected to the drain body fitting. Opposingly directed from the front face of the faceplate, a rear face aligns and sealingly joins the drain opening to an ovate inlet of a drain body fitting molded from plastic. The drain body fitting sealingly joins and directs effluent to the waste drain line.

  • Publication number: 20230228068
Abstract: A coupling system for plumbing applications including stub-ups in a poured slab. The coupling system includes a coupler and a cap. The coupler provides a glue-hub that is couplable to a stub-up. An opposite end of the coupler is enclosed by a knock-out disc that seals the end of the stub-up for pressure testing. A second glue-hub is provided beneath the knock-out disc. The cap includes a cap plate enclosing a top end thereof and is height adjustable on the coupler. A thermal expansion gap between the slab and the stub-up is provided by a sleeve positionable around the cap. The cap plate and the knock-out disc are “knocked out” to enable connection with the plumbing system and are sized to resist falling into the stub-up. An air purging valve may be installed in the coupler for pressure testing prior to removing the knock-out discs in the cap and coupler.

  • Patent number: 11473276
Abstract: A plumbing service box assembly is described. The assembly includes a box with a positioning-debris cover configured to be received through an open face of the box and that includes a receiver that engages the plumbing fitting. Engagement with the receiver retains the plumbing fitting orientation and position during installation in a structure. The positioning-debris cover may be retained for aesthetic appearance and/or to resist actuation of the fitting. A trim-piece provides a finished appearance to the installation and retains the positioning-debris cover in position. Top and bottom walls of the box include interchangeable adaptor plates that adapt to various plumbing conduit sizes as well as drain outlets or couplings. A secondary debris cover that encloses the positioning-debris cover within the box and further protects against entry of debris is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10962123
Abstract: A push-fit spigot. The spigot includes a push-fit coupling member removably disposed within an internal passage of a body of the spigot. The coupling member enables simple push-fit installation of the spigot on a stub-out in a structure. The coupling member is retained within the internal passage of the spigot by a removable fastener. A removal plate is installed on the stub-out prior to making insertion of the stub-out into the coupling member. Removal of the spigot from an installation on the stub-out is simply performed by removing the fastener between the coupling member and the body to enable removal of the body. The removal plate is then useable to depress a release collar in the coupling member to disengage the push-fit mechanism therein from the stub-out.

  • Patent number: 10544576
Abstract: A linear drain system that is configurable and adaptable on-site. The system includes an outlet section that is coupleable to a drain line of an existing plumbing system. The outlet section includes a pair of engagement flanges to which elongate channels are coupleable. The channels are easily cut to desired lengths on-site using hand tools or common power tools. Endcaps are coupled to terminal ends of the channels to form a trough. A strainer or a tile-ready strainer is provided for insertion into the trough. The strainer/tile-ready strainer are easily cut to length on-site as needed. A construction cover is provided that is disposable into the trough alone or overlying the strainer/tile-ready strainer to resist entrance of debris into the trough. The outlet section and channels include a longitudinal V-shaped canal.

  • Patent number: 9322157
Abstract: A drain fixture with a mechanically coupleable outlet fitting is described. The drain fixture includes a drain body having an aperture in a bottom floor thereof. A coupler with cylindrical body is inserted through the aperture such that the body extends below the floor. An outlet fitting is disposed beneath the floor and receives the body of the coupler therein. The outlet fitting includes a plurality of projections in an interior surface thereof that are received by respective channels in the body of the coupler. The outlet fitting is rotated with respect to the coupler to mechanically join the two together, such as in a bayonet-style coupling. The joining traps the floor of the drain body between flanges of the coupler and the outlet fitting. Downstream tubing can be coupled to the outlet fitting as desired.

  • Patent number: 9303804
Abstract: A fitting for plumbing systems, such as drain/waste/ventilation (DWV) systems that is chemically and mechanically joinable is described. A socket of the fitting has an interior surface configured for chemically joining with tubing. An exterior surface of the socket includes a plurality of projections extending radially outward therefrom. A collar that includes a sidewall with a plurality of bayonet-style channels configured to engage respective projections is provided. Interaction of the projections with the channels during rotation of the collar with respect to the fitting draws the collar toward the fitting and compresses an O-ring between the collar, socket, and tubing inserted therein to form a fluid-tight seal and/or mechanically couple the tubing in the socket. The collar may include longitudinally depending flanges that are depressed against the tubing by a compression ring to mechanically couple the tubing in the socket.

  • Patent number: 8622092
Abstract: A pipe connection member for connecting a pipe to a pair of parallel brackets includes a pair of clamping members. Each clamping member has a pipe receiving opening extending therethrough. The inner sides of the clamping members cooperate to form a pair of parallel channels sized to receive the brackets. At least one fastener interconnects the clamping members for drawing them toward one another and against the brackets. One of the clamping members further includes a collet having integrally formed fingers extending outwardly around its pipe receiving opening. The other clamping member includes a countersink sized and positioned to receive the fingers such that as the clamping members are drawn toward one another the fingers are compressed against a pipe extending through the pipe receiving openings to fasten the pipe to the pipe connection member.

  • Patent number: 8123257
Abstract: A crimp sleeve includes a cylindrical side wall having a plurality of slots cut therein to form a plurality of fingers. Each finger includes a shank and an inwardly extending tab. The shanks of the fingers are formed at an inward angle relative to the sleeve wall. The tips of the tabs define a tip diameter which forms an interference fit with the nipple on which the sleeve is to be installed. The interference fit between the tabs and the nipple allows the sleeve to be pre-loaded on the nipple. When the end of a length of tubing is inserted in the sleeve, the tubing will contact the shanks of the fingers and urge the fingers outwardly, increasing the tip diameter.
