Patents Assigned to SKF Gmbh, Schweinfurt
  • Patent number: 4696083
Abstract: A method for making hardened essentially disk-shaped machine parts particularly rotor disks for axial roller bearings consisting of the steps of forming the disk to the desired shape in the soft state, densifying at least one annular ring-shaped section of the disk by rolling or pressing and thereafter hardening the entire disk.

  • Patent number: 4682972
Abstract: In a universal joint assembly consisting of a cross piece having at least one pin supported in a bearing bushing, the bearing bushing having a bottom section and an adjacent sleeve section; at least one fork arm having a recess extending in the direction of the pin machined to hold the sleeve section; a cover plate attached removably to the fork arm which holds the sleeve section transversely in place in the recess; a support acting on the bottom section in the longitudinal direction from the outside toward the inside, in the form of a strap integral with the cover plate, and attached to an outer end surface of the fork arm by screw fasteners or the like.

  • Patent number: 4666386
Abstract: A rotary pump has a housing 1 with a driven rotor 7 installed in the housing 1. Vanes 12 are connected around the periphery of the rotor 7. Helical springs 14 are supported against rotor 7, which, acting on an inner surface of vanes 12, press the free end of the vanes 12 against the bore 6 of the housing 1. Each spring 14 has two coaxial sections of turns which spiral in opposite directions so that the springs 14 press the vanes 12 against the bore 6 of the housing 1 without tilting. These sections of turns are each designed with an adjacent support end 21 on the outer or inner section and a bail section, which is arranged between the inner and outer end of the sections of turns, connecting the inner and outer ends of these sections of turns rigidly together, and which projects radially beyond the sections of turns.

  • Patent number: 4637740
Abstract: For a bearing bushing of generally cup-like form for universal joints including a universal joint pin, a check plate disposed between the axial end face of the pin and the bottom wall of the bushing, said check plate having on the side thereof confronting the pin concentric or circumferentially distributed projections with check surfaces and in that, proceeding from the end surface facing away from the pin, it has recesses or the like, which are arranged under the projections in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4621932
Abstract: Four-row cylindrical roller bearing for the working or back-up rolls of high-speed roll stands, in which, so that the rollers of all rows can roll evenly at high speeds without slippage, and also so that the bearing can be easily disassembled, the inner ring is provided with flanges on both sides of each row of rollers and, in the installed state, at least the two rows of rollers facing the roll body are each guided in a separate cage.

  • Patent number: 4619535
Abstract: A pillow block housing having partition means dividing the interior of the housing into an outer oil reservoir chamber and an inner chamber for a rolling bearing, said chambers being separated by partition means extending in a generally radial direction with respect to the bearing axis, a lubricator ring which rests in the inner chamber on a shaft member or the like and projects through recesses in the housing partitions into the oil reservoir chamber and supplies lubricant from the reservoir to the inner bearing chamber upon rotation of the shaft, said partition means comprising separate divider sections selectively adjustable in various axial positions in the housing bore in a form-locking manner.
