  • Patent number: 6789630
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electric hand tool, in particular a drill or a screwdriver, comprising a housing, an electric motor accommodated therein and having a motor shaft, a tool shaft which is mounted in the housing and which is driven by the motor shaft via a transmission, and a hand-operated locking mechanism for blocking the rotating movement of the tool shaft, wherein this locking mechanism acts on the motor shaft, so that it is possible to suffice with a lesser locking force in order to block the tool shaft with the same locking effect.

  • Patent number: 6705017
Abstract: An apparatus having a foot, a reciprocating saw and a housing. Between the foot and the housing there are means for releasable mounting the foot on the housing, characterized in that the releasable mounting means have a first coupling member connected to the foot and, co-acting therewith, a second coupling member connected to the housing. The coupling members can be carried from a disconnected to a connected position by a relative displacement between the foot and housing.

  • Patent number: 6705931
Abstract: A sanding machine comprises a housing with a drive arranged in the housing. A substantially flat sanding sole having a main plane is mounted on the housing for movement in the main plane. The sanding sole is adapted to drive in an oscillating movement. The sanding sole has a first part on which the drive engages and a second part adjacent to the first part, which is releasably connected to the first part. The second part can be removed and replaced with a third part, the third part being releasably connected to the first part. The third part can be an additional sanding surface or a base for another tool. A sanding element for use in a sanding machine in the form of a sanding sole assembled from a first part and a second part.

  • Patent number: 5933969
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric hand tool comprising a housing manufactured from a first material, for instance plastic, a first shaft which is mounted in at least a first bearing and a second shaft which extends parallel to the first shaft and is coupled to the first shaft by means of a transmission and which is mounted in at least a second bearing, wherein both bearings are intersected by a plane extending perpendicularly of the shafts, wherein a plate manufactured from a second material that is stronger than the first material is arranged extending perpendicularly of the shafts, which plate fixes the first and second bearing in at least partially confining manner at least in radial direction.

  • Patent number: 5322302
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for mounting a saw-blade provided with an opening to a carrier which is connected to a drive device to make a reciprocating movement, wherein the device comprises: a wall extending in the direction of movement which is suitable for contact with a side of the saw-blade; a mounting body which is rotatable opposite the wall around a shaft extending perpendicularly of the direction of movement and parallel to the wall and which is provided with a protrusion which is movable into the opening arranged in the saw-blade; and urging means for urging the mounting body to a mounting position wherein the protrusion extends into the opening arranged in the saw-blade. Mounting takes place because via the sphere the saw-blade generates a moment in clockwise direction relative to the shaft. This moment is counteracted by a moment that is generated by the friction between the actuating rod and the contact surface.
