Abstract: Means for adjusting the freedom of movement between the instep shield (2) and the tip (1') of a shell (1) for skiing boots having a shell (1) which accommodates the foot and is covered on top by such shield (2). The shield is movable in relation to the shell (1) in the direction of walking and at its front rim (21) is supported on a resilient cushion (6) e.g. of rubber fitted to the boot tip (1'), following the arcuate shape thereof. In the transverse central region of the cushion (6) a slider (11), taking the form of a double-armed toggle lever and which is adjustable in the walking direction, is provided. It limits the adjustment range of the shield (2) and comprises a ratchet device which, biased by a spring engages into a matching ratchet formation of a guide in any selected position.

Abstract: Device for securing a shaft or shaft cover on ski boots comprising a shell and a leg. At least one part of the leg, when the leg comprises a leg cover and sleeve, is the leg cover which pivots about an axis of the shell or of any leg sleeve transverse to the boot's direction of travel. Located between the leg or cover and the heel section of the shell is a catch which is subjected to a spring force that moves the catch into the closed position and which may be forced open against the spring force acting on the inside of the boot and which is supported over a lower face on the heel section of the shell. In the locked position of the catch the leg or cover under load presses against the catch, which in turn presses against the shell without loading the pivoting pin of the catch.

Abstract: In a process for the manufacture of an inner shoe for skiing boots by filling the inner shoe in situ with foam, the foot of the wearer is dressed with a double-walled sock (hollow sock) (14) and placed inside the skiing boot, whereafter the foam composition is introduced in the flexor region of the boot by way of tubes (10) into the cavity of the sock unitl it re-emerges above the locality of introduction and where appropriate also at the tip end of the cavity by way of tubes. Abstract: Skiing boot with a shell and a shaft comprising a cover for entering the boot from behind and a collar forming the front portion of the shaft and extending right into the upper portion of the shell. The collar jointly with an on- following region of the upper portion of the shell forms a structural unit which is adjustable in the direction of motion in relation to the upper tip portion of the shell.

Abstract: A ski boot having a foot receiving casing and a leg portion, as well as a pressure distribution plate which is disposed between casing and an inner boot portion inserted in the casing, and which plate is provided with a device which presses the pressure distribution plate towards the instep region. The pressure distribution plate is under the influence of a device which presses the plate against the instep of the foot, so that the plate abuts substantially the entire instep and is pulled towards the heel of the foot.

Abstract: A ski boot having a shell and a leg portion (3) which is pivotable in the longitudinal direction relative to said shell. To permit entry into the boot from the rear, the leg portion may comprise a sleeve, which is to surround the front, lower portion of the user's shin bone and is open towards the heel, and a cover which is forwardly-upwardly and rearwardly-downwardly pivotable relative to said sleeve and, when the boot has been put on, the cover is securable on the sleeve by its closing means. The leg portion, or respectively the sleeve, has in its front region at least one slot which extends downwardly from its upper edge. In the instep region of the leg portion (3), this ski boot has two leg portion flaps (18,18') which are interconnected by means of at least one pivot member (21, 21a), so that they are vertically displaced in opposite directions relative to each other.

Abstract: A fastener for sports shoes, particularly for skiing boots or mountaineering boots, comprises a base member (1), which is adapted to be secured to one side part of the quarter of the shoe and is provided with a track (10), which extends in the direction in which the fastener is to be tightened. That track receives a slider (2). A tightener lever (4) is pivoted on said slider and provided with a loop member (5), which is adapted to be hung into a hook provided on the other side part of the quarter. A locking block is provided for connecting the slider (1) in the desired position.

Abstract: A skiing boot comprises a gaiter, which is pivotally movable relative to the foot part, and a spring element, which is disposed between the foot part and the gaiter and under an adjustable initial stress. The spring element influences the movement of the gaiter relative to the foot part in the direction of skiing. Mutually independent means are provided for adjusting the initial stress of the spring element and for adjusting the forward lean of the gaiter relative to the foot part. A releasable adjusting device for fixing the inclination of the gaiter is provided between the foot part and the gaiter.

Abstract: A skiing boot having a lower shell, which substantially encloses the foot, a gaiter, which is hinged to the lower shell adjacent to the ankle, and a device for adjusting the inclination of the gaiter relative to the lower shell and to exert a force which opposes the forward pivotal movement of the gaiter. Projections or similar holders are respectively provided on the rear portion of the lower shell and on the rear portion of the gaiter, in a manner known per se. An adjusting screw having oppositely handed screw threads is provided between said projections and an adjusting wheel is mounted on said screw between its screw threads. A guide pin is longitudinally slidably mounted on the projection of the gaiter and interengages with the adjusting screw and carries a biasing spring or the like.

Abstract: A retaining plate has at least two succeeding female detent means for receiving one end of a strap, which is received and retained at its other end in female detent means of a buckle. The female detent means in the retaining plate are covered by a cap, which consists of extensible material and is provided at opposite ends with pockets, which are fitted around raised edge portions of the retaining plate so that the cap is under initial tension.

Abstract: The footwear comprises a liner, which is provided with a marking, and an outer layer, which covers the liner and consists of at least partly transparent plastics material. An inner layer may be provided, if desired. The outer layer constitutes a shell, which includes the sole.

Abstract: A skiing boot comprises an upper which has a rear portion that extends upwardly and forwardly and is formed at least at its upper end with a substantially central slot, which is adapted to be closed by means comprising ribs, such as rails, beads or the like extending along both sides of said slot, and a slider, which is adjustably mounted on said ribs and adapted to be fixed in any desired position, if desired.
