    Abstract: A mechanism for preventing tipping of a lifting device having a main frame supported by a plurality of ground engaging support elements and a lifting element raisable and lowerable with respect to the main frame, the mechanism comprising a subframe mounted on the main frame and extending thereunder and intermediately disposed between all of the support members, and a parallel linkage mechanism for raising and lowering the subframe with respect to the ground in response to the lowering and raising of the lifting element respectively.
