Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a collaborative environment are provided. A plurality of sheets is stored in a collaboration system. The collaboration system tracks user interactions with the plurality of sheets and generates a collaboration graph based on the interactions. The collaboration graph is analyzed to determine similarities between the sheets and/or the users. One or more visualizations are generated based on the collaboration graph and the determined similarities. In some embodiments, the collaboration system is able to provide project management information even for dynamic workflows that are not explicitly defined.

Abstract: In some embodiments, if a Master Row is associated with tabular data, a formatting operation replicates formatting from the Master Row in any new row created at the same level of hierarchy in the tabular data. In some embodiments, the tabular data editor allows users to specify whether formatting set by a user edit in a cell before application of a Master Row results in a merger or override. In some embodiments, formatting set by a user edit after a Master Row is applied is treated as custom edit to that cell or row, and is not again changed to match the Master Row (unless the hierarchy of the row changes, and another Master Row is applied).

Abstract: A visual environment implements technical solutions to permit rapid, contextual display of status information for scheduled items. The visual environment includes interactive charts (e.g., interactive Gantt charts) with dynamic progress monitoring (e.g., in the form of dynamic progress views with specialized, multi-function burn-down graphs, trend lines, or the like). Automated notifications and modifications can be generated based on inputs to or outputs from the visual environment and/or a related back-end computer system. Contextual presentation of possible or actual changes to the scheduled items can be provided by the visual environment (e.g., in the form of updates to a dynamic progress view). Real-time data inputs by users can be tracked by the back-end computer system, which can make updates to the visual environment, such as updating a trend line in a dynamic progress view.

The supplemental interface provides access to data stored within a tabular data management system. The supplemental interface may present a form that is automatically generated based on a column layout in a sheet stored in the tabular data management system. The supplemental interface may automatically select a sheet to be opened based on information in an email message, and may automatically add information from the email message to the sheet. The tabular data management system may allow image data to be stored and displayed within cells of tabular data.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer-implemented spreadsheet management method is provided that automatically copies formatting and formulas from appropriate peer rows to an updated row. In some embodiments, the method automatically determines which peer rows, if any, should be used as the source of copied formatting and formulas. In some embodiments, the method automatically fixes formulas that are affected by the updated row in order to maintain consistency throughout the spreadsheet.

Abstract: A task management system and method integrates rich functionality into a web-browser based application. An efficient request for an update enables a user to quickly generate a completely customizable email message to intended recipient(s). By introducing a client side, in-memory database, the client component becomes less susceptible to network connectivity glitches and enables user interfaces to be redrawn without server interaction. Additionally, the task management system and method provides flexibility by enabling tasks to be grouped and organized. Specifically, a task may be associated with multiple task sheets and a task sheet may include multiple tasks in a many-to-many manner. Also, templates may be created that enable a user to start with a base template and to add (or remove) one or more columns. Further, the task management systems allows for multiple users to access and manipulate task data concurrently.

Abstract: In one aspect, a computing device with a touchscreen (e.g., a tablet computer, smart phone, etc.) renders an initial interactive chart view (e.g., a Gantt chart view) having a time axis and a task axis, receives user input (e.g., a pinch gesture) associated with a zoom operation, determines whether the zoom operation is one-dimensional or multi-dimensional, and renders a zoom-adjusted interactive chart view (e.g., zooming in or out on the time axis, the task axis, or both). In another aspect, a computing device renders a chart view comprising a time axis and a task row having a task name label with a directional indicator, renders the directional indicator such that it points in the direction of a task bar, receives user input associated with a change in the current position of the task bar, and adjusts the directional indicator based on the change in the current position.
