Abstract: A retro guidewire reamer includes a cutting member, and a mechanism for moving the cutting member from a closed position to a deployed position in a single manual motion. Once a desired size of a bone tunnel is established, a surgeon uses the reamer to create a primary bone tunnel over a guidewire from the outside in. The surgeon retracts the guidewire, and activates the mechanism to deploy the cutting member within the bone joint to conform to the size of a tendon graft. The surgeon uses the deployed cutting member to create a counter bore through the bone in a retrograde manner. Once the counter bore is drilled, the surgeon activates the mechanism to close the cutting member, allowing the reamer to be withdrawn through the primary tunnel. The retro guidewire reamer can be used to provide more accurate bone tunnel placement during ligament reconstruction surgery.

Abstract: Oxidation resistant crosslinked ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is described, wherein at least two different additives in the manufacture synergistically increase the oxidation resistance of crosslinked UHMWPE. This allows the manufacture of oxidation resistant crosslinked UHMWPE using lower levels of additives and/or lower levels of crosslinking irradiation or chemicals. The lower levels of additives and/or crosslinking produce crosslinked UHMWPE having desired physical properties not possible without the synergistic interaction of the additives. This crosslinked UHMWPE may be used in medical prostheses such as in bearing components having desired physical properties such as wear resistance and oxidation resistance not possible without the synergistic interaction of the additives.

The patient matched instrument includes a body having an interior patient matched surface; a cutting slot extending through at least a portion of the body; a first paddle extending from the body; and a second paddle spaced apart from the first paddle and extending from the body; and wherein at least one of the first paddle and the second paddle further comprises a hook.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an anchor system. The anchor system includes an anchor including a threaded outer portion and a non-threaded outer portion and a plug disposed within the anchor, the plug comprising a distal portion, a proximal portion, the proximal portion comprising a threaded portion and a coupling portion, and a through hole, wherein an inner surface of the threaded outer portion is shaped to interface with a portion of a delivery device and an inner surface of the non-threaded outer portion includes threads for engagement with threads on the threaded portion of the plug. A delivery device for use with the anchor system is also disclosed.
