    Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for strip casting using a travelling mould which is cooled by a liquid coolant. The invention is characterised in that the coolant is liquid metal or ionic liquid. Preferably, the coolant flows with turbulent flow through the cooling device attributed to the travelling mould.
