Patents Assigned to Societe Anonyme de Recherches de Mecanique
  • Patent number: 4373832
Abstract: A connecting rod comprises a fibrous tubular body with a connecting end member at one end. The end member is screwed into a separate brace member having a conical external surface about which is mounted a radially expansible member having a corresponding conical internal surface. The expansible member has closed longitudinal slots and a cylindrical external surface of diameter equal to the internal diameter of the body. A cap is screwed on the bracing member and has an internal diameter equal to the external diameter of the body, which is received between the cap and the bracing member.

  • Patent number: 4353268
Abstract: A connecting rod for the control and/or transmission of force, particularly for use in aeronautical construction, comprises a tubular body formed of high-strength fibres bonded together by polymerized epoxy resin. The body has frusto-conical end portions each surrounding a frusto-conical skirt portion of an end member which is adapted to receive coupling means. A ferrule, also formed of bonded fibres, is provided to tighten each frusto-conical end portion of the body against the frusto-conical skirt portion of the corresponding end member.

  • Patent number: 4353267
Abstract: The invention relates to a control rod or power transmission rod of tubular shape whose ends are provided with bearings and which is formed of continuous fibres or wires coated with resin and wound around internal elements of the bearings. To provide the rod with a high transverse strength, the fibres or wires are wound on the internal elements of the bearings at an angle greater than 180.degree., for example, 270.degree., and intersect each other where they leave these elements, so as to avoid forming a plane of weakness liable to fracture.

  • Patent number: 4318308
Abstract: There is provided a cable tension regulator having a pivotable hub which is rigid with an operating lever. Two quadrants are pivotably mounted on the hub and have fixed on their peripheries respective cables for connection to a control or controlled element. Resilient means urge the quadrants to pivot in the direction corresponding to tensioning of the cables. Means are provided for locking the quadrants on the hub when an additional traction is exerted on one of the cables by the control element and for releasing the quadrants when the tensions of the two cables change simultaneously. Each quadrant is pivotably mounted on the hub by means of a disengageable one-way coupling which prevents, when in operation, the quadrant from pivoting under the effect of the resilient means. There is provided means for disengaging the one-way coupling when the respective cable is taut.
