  • Patent number: 5083369
Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for forming a wiring harness, wherein:a) individual sliding guide members are provided;b) the connectors are disposed side by side;c) as many sliding guide members are disposed side by side as is necessary for defining the junction nodes;d) the ends of each conductor are connected to the appopriate coupling positions of the two connectors which are to be connected by said conductor, by causing this conductor to pass through the corresponding sliding guide member(s);e) said sliding guide members and said connectors are moved away from each other; andf) the conductors belonging to the same bundle are bound together.

  • Patent number: 5083863
Abstract: A system is disclosed for checking the connection of first ends of electric conductors in the corresponding terminals of a connector having a rear face for introducing the ends of the conductors and a front face, each of the terminals being formed of a bore passing from one side to the other of the connector. This system further comprises, according to the invention, first illuminator for illuminating obliquely the front face of said connector, and electronic device for observing and displaying the front face, so that the variations of contrast on the front face of the connector make it possible to determine whether a particular conductor end is fitted into the appropriate terminal of the connector and whether the position of the conductor end is correct.

  • Patent number: 5081345
Abstract: A system is disclosed for locating a moving object, comprising a transmitter transmitting light flashes, connected to the moving object and a charge transfer and frame transfer photosensitive detector disposed in a fixed station and connected by electronic means, the transmitter and the detector being driven by individual, initially synchronized time bases. From time to time, but preferably periodically, the duration of an integration time of said detector is reduced to a value at most equal to the duration of the light flashes, so that said corresponding light flash occurs at least partially during the preceding transfer time or following said reduced integration time and said electronic means calculate the relative time drift between said time bases from the light trace formed by said flash on said matrix detector and use this calculated drift for re-setting the time base of the detector with respect to that of the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 5074492
Abstract: A system is disclosed for steering a missile by means of gas jets, comprising a gas generator connectable to at least a pair of lateral nozzles via rotary valving means, movable under the action of drive means and controlling the passage of the gases through said nozzles. According to the invention:with each nozzle is associated an individual rotary valving member;each valving member is controlled in rotation by a piston dividing a jack into two chambers of different cross sections, said chambers each receiving a part of the gas generated by said gas generator, and the position of said piston being controlled by controlling the flowrate of said gas through the chamber with largest cross section, andthe two valving members are connected together by a mechanical connection so that, when one valving member rotates and tends to close the associated nozzle, the other valving member rotates by the same angular amplitude and tends to free the associated nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5018638
Abstract: The present invention concerns a receptacle for the storage of fluid under pressure and comprising an internal casing with axis X,X' and having one central cylindrical section and two extremity sections, an armouring encompassing said casing and leaving clear at the convex extremity section a cap centered on axis X,X'.According to the invention, the outer contour (8) of said convex extremity section (2b) of the casing (2) has, as a longitudinal section, a shape which is at least approximately elliptical so that the ratio G of the small half axis to the major axis is such that:0.32.ltoreq.G.ltoreq.0.4 (I)where the major axis corresponds to the outer diameter of the central cylindrical section (2a) of the casing (2), and the thickness e.sub.i of said convex extremity section (2b), said cap (6) being excluded, varies according to the formula: ##EQU1## in which: R.sub.i =distance to the axis X,X' of the point of the outer contour (8) of said convex extremity section (2b) at which the thickness e.sub.

  • Patent number: 4916882
Abstract: This invention relates to a member for connecting panels comprising a central core covered by sheets, wherein said member comprises two small plates parallel to each other and connected to each other by a transverse connecting lug, and which are adapted to fit by their inner faces on the respective sheets of said panel, the distance separating the inner faces of the small plates corresponding substantially to the thickness of said panel. Each inner face presents a recess capable of being filled with an adhesive bonding said small plate to the corresponding sheet, while the outer face of each small sheet presents ribs thanks to which each of said small plates, even subjected to efforts at right angles to said panel, is applied uniformly against the corresponding sheet of said panel, means for fixing an adjacent panel or specific equipment being provided in said connecting lug.

  • Patent number: 4811093
Abstract: This invention relates to a system for adjusting the relative angular positions of two video cameras directed towards the same object, characterized in that it comprises:--structure for synchronizing the actions of said cameras;--structure for displaying the video signals issuing from said cameras, these display structures being common to said cameras;--and a device for addressing to said display structure a succession of images which come, alternately, from one and the other of said cameras. The system of the invention is more particularly applicable to the adjustment of the axes of two apparatus, for example the firing axis of a weapon and the axis of sight of a viewfinder.
