    Abstract: A marking head for cold stamping letters, numbers or other symbols provided on free ends of a plurality of stamps on a metallic surface. The stamps of the marking head are operated by explosion of a cartridge in a striking tool connected to the marking head to thereby move a piston of the tool, and a force transmitting member is arranged in the marking head to transmit the blow imparted to the piston onto the stamps.
