Abstract: A gasket for the tight coupling of pipes having an outer face adapted to cooperate with the cylindrical bearing surface of the female end of a pipe, a succession of annular ribs each taking, in cross section, the form of an asymmetrical tooth, two annular housings opening via slots in the inner face and adapted to receive two rigid annular cores, and two mouldings of prismatic cross section and inclined towards the edge of engagement of said gasket in the female end. The invention is more particularly applicable to underground pipes for the circulation of sewage.
