Abstract: An information processing device obtains information regarding the position of each fingertip of a user in a real space, and determines contact between a virtual object set within a virtual space and a finger of the user. The information processing device sets the virtual object in a partly deformed state such that a part of the virtual object, the part corresponding to the position of the finger determined to be in contact with the object among the fingers of the user, is located more to a far side from a user side than the finger, and displays the virtual object having the shape set thereto as an image in the virtual space on a display device.
Abstract: A computer system and method for presenting windows in a dynamic menu are provided. The dynamic menu presents windows corresponding to an active application according to a first order, whereby windows are arranged based on recent interaction. The dynamic menu also presents windows corresponding to one or more inactive applications according to a second order, whereby windows are arranged based on relevance to a user of the computer system. The windows are presented in a first presentation state, and are expanded to a second presentation state or a third presentation state in response to user interaction. The third presentation state is reached via the second presentation state, thereby reducing latency and complexity of menu navigation.
Abstract: A learning device, an image generating device, a learning method, an image generating method, and a program are provided which can improve accuracy of estimation of an environment outside an angle of view of an image input to an image generating section. A second learning data obtaining section (64) obtains an input image. A second learning section (66) obtains result data indicating a result of execution of semantic segmentation on the input image. An input data generating section (38) generates input data obtained by coupling the input image and the result data to each other. By using the input data as input, the second learning section (66) performs learning of a wide view angle image generating section (28) that generates, in response to input of data obtained by coupling an image to a result of execution of semantic segmentation on the image, an image having a wider angle of view than the image.
Abstract: A method for graphics processing. The method including rendering graphics for an application using graphics processing units (GPUs). The method including using the plurality of GPUs in collaboration to render an image frame including a plurality of pieces of geometry. The method including during the rendering of the image frame, subdividing one or more of the plurality of pieces of geometry into smaller pieces, and dividing the responsibility for rendering these smaller portions of geometry among the plurality of GPUs, wherein each of the smaller portions of geometry is processed by a corresponding GPU. Abstract: Methods and systems for filtering content include identifying content for presenting in a rendering space defined by one or more mechanisms of a head mounted display (HMD), wherein the content is interactive, streaming content. A rating score for the content is identified. The content is dynamically adjusted to selectively filter a portion of the content based on a user profile of the user, rating score of the content, and ongoing interactions detected at the content. The adjusted content is formatted for rendering on the HMD. The formatted content is automatically transmitted to the HMD for rendering, in response to the request.

Abstract: Techniques for managing notifications are described. In an example, a computing device presents content in an application window based on an execution of an application. Notification data is received by a computing device. Based on a context associated with the computing device, such as whether the application window is the foreground and whether the notification data is associated with the application or such as the operational mode of the computing device, a determination is made whether to present a corresponding notification in-context within the application window or in a pop-up window. Otherwise, the notification is added to a notification list and can be summarized in a notification summary.

A method can include generating a virtual environment associated with an interactive session that includes a plurality of spectator devices, wherein each of the spectator devices is presented with a different display based on a corresponding vantage point located within the virtual environment; receiving a plurality of media captures from the spectator devices, wherein each of the media captures is captured from the corresponding vantage point of the spectator device within the virtual environment; selecting one of the media captures based on a comparison of visibility of an asset in the virtual environment; and streaming the selected media capture to a primary display on a requesting device.

Abstract: A frame storage section stores captured images of a predetermined number of frames depicting a region including the skin of a user. A pixel value acquisition section divides the captured images into a plurality of blocks and acquires the pixel values in each block. A pixel exclusion section narrows down target pixels in each block by excluding pixels that have a green value equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold in a case where pixel colors of each block are represented by RGB. A brightness change compensation section compensates for brightness changes by dividing the average of green values by the average of red or blue values in a case where the colors of the target pixels in each block are represented by RGB. A pulse detection section detects a pulse from temporal changes in target pixel values in each block.
