Abstract: A system includes a universal handle and a variety of tools selectively secured within the handle. The tools can be tools for grooming or collecting hair, and are especially useful with animals such as household pets. One example tool includes a mat breaker that is adjustable for left handed or right handed use. Another example tool is a fur sweeper tool and a fur accumulator tool. Other tools include deshedders, brushes, and combs.

Abstract: A steam generator includes a pre-heat chamber configured to heat incoming water to a temperature less than the boiling point of water, where the pre-heat chamber is configured to heat the water such that if the water contains a calcium compound, the calcium compound is caused to take a particulate form. The steam generator also includes a filter assembly in fluid communication with the pre-heat chamber, the filter assembly including a removable particulate filter element, where the filter element is reusable and cleanable. The steam generator also includes a water pump in fluid communication with the filter assembly, and operative to cause water flow through the steam generator and a boiler in fluid communication with the water pump, where the water pump is configured to cause water to flow to the boiler, and where the boiler is configured to boil water such that steam is produced.

Abstract: A rekeyable lock cylinder with a cylinder body and a plug assembly. The lock cylinder includes a plurality of key followers and a corresponding plurality of racks disposed in the plug assembly. Disengaging the racks from the key followers allows rekeying of the lock cylinder.

Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring a security device, such as an electronic lock, are disclosed. In particular, the present disclosure describes methods and systems for provisioning a lock with a certificate such that any change to the lock, or changes to lock-server communication characteristics, can be detected and (optionally) prevented. As such, security of such devices is improved.

Abstract: A pivotable spray head for connection to a faucet for expelling water is described herein. The spray head includes a spray head top portion having an inlet to receive water from the faucet and a spray head bottom portion having an outlet to expel water. The spray head further includes a pivoting joint mechanism structured to pivot the spray head relative to the faucet about a pivot axis.

Abstract: Methods and systems for validating intent to actuate an electronic lock are provided, using comparative gesture processing. One method includes obtaining motion signals representative of physical motion of the mobile device detected by a motion sensor of the mobile device and at an electronic lock. The method includes performing a similarity correlation between the first motion signals and the second motion signals, and, based on the similarity correlation determining that the first motion signals and second motion signals are correlated. Based on the correlation and authentication, the wireless electronic lockset is actuated.

Abstract: An aquarium system includes an aquarium tank arrangement and a light source. The light source has a controllable output of colored light projecting into the aquarium tank arrangement. The light source can provide a cycle of projecting light of at least two different colors.

Abstract: A pet grooming tool is provided with a fur ejector portion that is at least partially movable relative to the teeth of the pet grooming tool and can be manually moved into engagement with fur that is wedged or lodged between the teeth. The engagement of the fur ejector portion with the fur forces the fur from the gaps between the teeth. Preferably, the fur ejector portion can be manually moved by the same hand a person uses to support and hold the grooming tool.

Abstract: A faucet assembly and method of faucet installation are provided. In one example, a faucet assembly includes a fastener including a cylindrical aperture formed, at least in part, by an interior surface that has a complementary threading to a threaded exterior surface of a shank of a faucet. The fastener is manually adjustable to change a relative posture between the interior surface and the threaded exterior surface of the shank when positioned around the shank between a first posture and a second posture. In the first posture, the interior surface is positioned away from the shank and the fastener is freely slidable along the threaded exterior surface of the shank in the first direction, and in the second posture, the portion of the interior surface including the complementary threading is adjacent to and engaged with the threaded exterior surface of the shank.

A hairstyle with an inclined angle and a twisted shape can be realized without rotation of a user's hand, and the hairstyle can be completed without major changes to perm action.

Abstract: A latch assembly is provided where a latch bolt is moveable to open and close a door by unblocking pivotal movement of the latch bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle does not directly result in a corresponding retraction of the latch within a sleeve, but rather unblocks the bolt to freely pivot away from a latched position. In some embodiments, the latch assembly may include a sleeve that allows for a backset to be infinitely adjusted relative to an aperture of the sleeve. In some embodiments, the latch assembly may further include a dead latch to provide additional security against forced entry.

Abstract: A filter arrangement for an aquarium is disclosed. The filter arrangement can include a filter housing assembly, a pump assembly, and a transfer tube assembly. In one aspect, the housing assembly and the pump assembly are separately constructed assemblies that are connected to each other via a first dampening member to prevent vibration and sound from being transmitted from the pump assembly to the filter housing assembly. The filter arrangement can further include a second dampening member connecting the pump assembly with the transfer tube assembly to further prevent vibration and sound from being transmitted from the pump assembly to the filter housing assembly. A third dampening member can be provided at a location where the transfer tube assembly is supported within the filter housing assembly to further isolate vibration and sound from being transmitted from the pump assembly to the filter housing assembly via the transfer tube assembly.

Abstract: A showerhead engine includes a first plate joined to a second plate with a cavity therebetween. Water enters the cavity through an angled hole in the first plate and flows in a swirling motion about the central axis. A paddle wheel is spun within the cavity by the swirling water. A notched cutout in the paddle wheel forms an exit passage through a through hole in the second plate allowing the water to exit when the notched cutout lines up with slots in the second plate. The revolving paddle wheel continues to revolve thereby revolving the notched cutout and producing a revolving spray pattern.

Abstract: A light system for an aquarium includes an aquarium tank and a lid covering the open top of the tank. The lid is pivotably attached to the tank and is pivotable between a covered position and uncovered position. A light source is secured to an interior portion of the lid and moves with the lid between the covered position and uncovered position. The light source emits a. light beam. An alignment arrangement is provided for the light source and is constructed and arranged to ensure the light beam projects into the tank interior volume regardless of the position of the lid and light source.

Abstract: A locking device with a bolt movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking device includes an electronic controller for selectively controlling movement of the bolt between the locked and unlocked position. At least two input devices are provided, such as a keypad, a biometric input, etc., which communicate an authentication code to the controller. The controller controls movement of the bolt based on a valid authentication code received from any of the at least two input devices.
