Patent number: 10614703Abstract: A system for activating a plurality of Halloween props with a single remote controller is provided. The system includes a remote controller and a plurality of remote receivers. Each of the remote receivers is connected to the Halloween prop via an activation port of the Halloween prop, e.g., a try-me or step pad port. The remote controller has a plurality of pushbuttons for accepting a user selection to be received by a respective remote receiver. Each of the pushbuttons corresponds to a Halloween prop that is connected with the respective remote receiver via the activation port.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2018Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Spencer Gifts LLCInventor: Carl Joseph Franke

Patent number: 5778576Abstract: A novelty lamp which comprises a transparent container with a top surface, a bottom surface, an outer portion, and an inner portion. The inner portion extends upwardly from the bottom surface of the container and defines a hollow area. The bottom surface of the container is mounted in a base member. Two substances are received in the container. One of the substances has a higher relative density at room temperature and is immiscible with the other substance. Upon application of heat, which is supplied by a light bulb mounted within the base member, globules of the substance with the initially higher relative density become less dense, rise in the other substance and flow around the outer and inner portions of the container. As the globules rise toward the top surface of the container they cool, become more dense and drop back down toward the bottom surface of the container.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1996Date of Patent: July 14, 1998Assignee: Spencer GiftsInventor: Ali Kaviani

Patent number: 5483124Abstract: The invention is a source of illumination including a lighting tube requiring converted electrical energy in order to provide the illumination. First and second electrical connectors are provided for receiving low voltage DC energy. An energy convertor receives the low voltage DC energy from the first and second electrical connectors and converts it to the converted electrical energy. Electrical leads are coupled to the energy convertor and to the lighting tube for applying the converted electrical energy from the energy converter to the lighting tube. The first and second connectors are electrically coupled in parallel with each other for selectably applying the low voltage DC energy to the energy converter by way of either of the first and second converters. The lighting tube is a gas discharge tube and the first and second electrical connectors are disposed at opposite end regions of the lighting tube.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1994Date of Patent: January 9, 1996Assignee: Spencer Gifts, Inc.Inventor: Ali Kaviani
