Abstract: An apparatus and a method for interfacing a gaming device with a gaming system having a proprietary or secure protocol for inputting gaming signals. The gaming system is communicatively coupled to an input device for receiving gaming signals encoded according to the proprietary or secure protocol. The apparatus comprises a module for converting signals from the gaming device into a first format and a module for transmitting the first format signals to the input device. The input device includes a component for converting the first format signals into signals according to the proprietary protocol and transmitting the converted signals to the gaming system. According to one embodiment, the first format signals comprise simulated input control signals for the input device.

Abstract: In a nuclear magnetic resonance probe, the sample coil is connected to the RF excitation source via transmission lines that are arranged to generate one or more nodal points at the 1H excitation frequency along their lengths and a balanced magnetic filed profile within the sample coil. Heat exchangers are then connected directly to the inner conductor of the transmission line at these nodal points. The transmission line inner conductors are in direct contact with the sample coil and efficiently cool the coil to cryogenic temperatures without interfering with the 1H resonance or RF profile.

One chamber is for pumping blood through the natural lungs, and a second chamber is for pumping blood through the remainder of the body. Each chamber has it's own inlet and outlet ports for attachment of tubing and cannulae. A small, adjustable clamp may alternatively be provided if minor adjustments of pressure to both the pulmonary and systemic circuits is required.

Abstract: A centrifugal pump for pumping biological fluids such as blood includes a housing which defines a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber encloses an impeller mounted on a spindle. The impeller carries coupling mechanisms which couple with an external source of rotation to rotate the impeller. The spindle allows the impeller to rotate freely, but both ends of the spindle are constrained in the axial and lateral directions. The housing includes an inlet and an outlet.
