Patent number: 5547345Abstract: A pneumatic pump of the type having a pair of pump chambers each divided by a diaphragm assembly coupled by a main shaft includes a housing having a central valve chamber. An integral counter, mounted in the pump housing, is also coupled to the diaphragm shaft, and provides a count of the number of shaft reciprocations performed.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1995Date of Patent: August 20, 1996Assignees: Standard Keil Industries, Inc., The Coca-Cola CompanyInventors: Thomas G. Patent number: 5545016Abstract: A pneumatic pump of the type having a pair of pump chambers each divided by a diaphragm assembly coupled by a main shaft includes a housing having a central valve chamber. The valve chamber is provided with a pair of internal walls between which a valve body reciprocates. The valve body alternatively connects passageways from the pump chambers to the pump exterior, while pressurized gas supplied to the valve chamber simulataneously pressurizes the other pump chamber. The valve body is mechanically coupled to the diaphragm shaft, whereby the pump chambers are pressurized and evacuated on synchronism with diaphragm operation. The valve body is accessible through an aperture in the housing, allowing the body to be replaced without pump disassembly. An integral counter, mounted in the pump housing, is also coupled to the diaphragm shaft, and provides a count of the number of shaft reciprocations performed.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1995Date of Patent: August 13, 1996Assignee: Standard-Keil Industries, Inc.Inventor: Yushan Wang

Patent number: 5465750Abstract: A two-stage regulator includes first and second regulator units in series. The regulator units are mounted upon a unitary base which forms the lower portion of each regulator and includes the inlets and outlets for each regulator unit as well as a passageway between the units. Each of the regulator units is of the diaphragm and main spring type. The first regulator unit, which operates upon the input high-pressure flow, includes a valve assembly proximate the diaphragm. The second regulator unit, which decreases the pressure of the intermediate pressure flow to the final low-pressure outlet flow includes a stem mounted to the diaphragm which terminates at a valve assembly displaced from the diaphragm body. In a preferred embodiment, the surface area of the low-pressure regulator unit is approximately 25% greater than the surface area of the high-pressure unit.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1994Date of Patent: November 14, 1995Assignee: Standard Keil Industries, Inc.Inventor: Yushan Wang

Patent number: 5417146Abstract: An apparatus for the carbonation of liquids, such as water, comprises a liquid storage tank coupled to a carbonizer having a carbonated liquid holding tank which presents a carbon dioxide atmosphere to liquid introduced therein. The liquid introduced into the holding tank blends with the carbon dioxide atmosphere, and is held in the tank for withdrawal upon demand. The liquid storage tank maintains a liquid therein at ambient pressure, and has a draw tube for liquid removal positioned proximate the bottom wall of the tank. The tank has a channel system in the tank bottom to allow liquid to collect therein to maximize the amount of liquid which may be withdrawn. Liquid level switches sense the level of liquid within the channel system and are coupled to the carbonizer to prevent its operation when insufficient liquid is present in the storage tank.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1994Date of Patent: May 23, 1995Assignee: Standard Keil Industries, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth J. Patent number: 5381824Abstract: A gas regulator has a pressure control diaphragm biased by a spring. The force of the spring upon the diaphragm, and thus the operating pressure for the regulator, is controlled by a linear travel bushing bearing against the spring. The bushing is preferably threaded upon a shaft, the rotation of which allows travel of the bushing. The top end of the shaft is recessed within a bore in the regulator housing to deter tampering. The shaft may be locked in position by use of a recessed setscrew, while the access bore may be provided with a cover.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1993Date of Patent: January 17, 1995Assignee: Standard Keil Industries, Inc.Inventors: Yushan Wang, Wilson Orozco

Patent number: 5281064Abstract: A fastening system allows the panel mounting of handles and similar hardware in both front and rear mount configurations. A caged bolt is provided in a transverse aperture extending through the hardware item. A mounting bolt includes a head-distal shank portion for engagement with the bolt when inserted through the hardware rear face, and head-proximate unthreaded shank portion for capture by the caged nut when the bolt is inserted through the hardware item from the front face. The caged nut can be positioned along the length of the aperture to align with a panel mounting hole.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1993Date of Patent: January 25, 1994Assignee: Standard Keil Industries, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth J.
