Abstract: Presented herein is a modular backpack comprising a front module and a back module, with the front module releasably attached to the back module via a connection between an attachment element of the front module and an attachment element of the back module. The modular backpack system can include any number of center modules positioned between the front module and the back module and releasably attached to both the front and back modules. To be a large capacity backpack, the modular backpack system can include a back module, the appropriate number of center modules, and a front module. To be a small capacity backpack, the modular backpack system can simply include a front module with a number of pockets and a back module. Accordingly, the modular backpack system thus enables the user to easily and quickly customize their backpack as needed based on the occasion.

  • Patent number: 5527040
Abstract: A golf training device for eliminating palm reflection of the trailing hand during a golf swing including a support member positionable on the dorsal side of the wrist and forearm of the wearer and secured there with one strap encircling the wrist and a second strap encircling the forearm. A bracket is attached to the support which includes an A-frame extending away from the dorsal side of the wrist and forearm. An adjustable cord is provided which attaches to the A-frame and includes a loop for encircling at least one finger of the trailing hand of the wearer. The length of the cord is adjusted such that the trailing hand of the wearer can move his or her hand from dorsal flexion to extension. However, further movement from extension into palmer flexion is resisted. By transverse resistance through the club to the lead hand, the wrist of the lead arm is signaled not to move into dorsal flexion or collapse.

  • Patent number: 5168578
Abstract: A glove device for use in swinging a baseball bat and the like, including a back portion and palm portion joined together to form a hand conforming glove. Also included are digital sheaths attached to the glove and aligned to cover at least a portion of at least the thumb and the index finger. The device has a control spacer forming part of the palm and the digital sheaths, and has sufficient thickness to shift control over gripping a bat to the remaining fingers of the hand.

  • Patent number: 4561122
Abstract: A protective glove 10 constructed of shock-absorbent material, comprising digital sheaths 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 anchored to a metacarpal sheath 14. The sheaths 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 extend to cover the second-innermost joint of each digit, 17, 19, 21, 23 and 25. As a result, the glove 10 pads the critical area of wrap-around grasp--the metacarpals and the entire shaft of the proximal phalanx--yet permits unimpeded fingertip feel by exposing the distal phalanges. The glove 10 further preserves normal hand sensations during flexion and extension: by covering both the palmar curve and the dorsal surfaces of the second-innermost joints, the glove 10 exerts forces on the palmar surface and the aforesaid joints in proportion to the forces caused by normal compression and stretching at those respective positions on an unprotected hand.
