Abstract: In one general aspect, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a firearm safety device including a trigger, a pin, and a safety deactuation device. The trigger has a channel therein with an opening at an end of the channel. The pin is disposed within the channel such that a portion of the pin extends through the opening. The safety deactuation device is configured to engage with the pin and move the pin within the channel of the trigger as the safety deactuation device is moved relative to the trigger.
Abstract: The subject matter described in this specification relates generally to a firearm recoil compensation system and a process for manufacturing a firearm recoil compensation system. The recoil compensation system includes a barrel, a compensator, and a slide. The compensator is attached to a muzzle end of the barrel. The compensator includes a projection extending along an upper surface of the barrel in a direction away from gas ports in the compensator. The slide is configured to house the barrel, and a slot is defined in an upper surface of the slide, where the slot is shaped to allow the slide to, at least partially, wrap around the projection of the compensator with the slide in a battery position.
Abstract: A firearm firing system that includes a striker assembly and a fire control assembly. The striker assembly includes a striker housing, a striker disposed within the striker housing, and a sear bar coupled to the striker housing. The sear bar is configured to engage a sear engagement surface of the striker through an opening in the striker housing. The fire control assembly includes a cocking block and a transfer lever. The cocking block is configured to engage with and pivot the sear bar. The transfer lever is configured to transfer force from a trigger to the cocking block.
Abstract: An extractor for a firearm. The extractor includes an extractor body, an edge at a first end of the extractor body, a pivot at a second end of the extractor body, opposite the first end, and a locking portion. The extractor edge is configured to engage a bullet casing. The pivot is configured to permit the extractor to pivot about a first axis and to pivot about a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis when the extractor is installed within a firearm slide. The locking portion is configured to engage with a corresponding locking element in the firearm slide.
