    Abstract: A device for matching the skin shade of a person with the shade of a cosmetic composition includes a tape having a plurality of transparent and opaque portions. The opaque portions have different shades and unique shapes that are coded to so that each portion can be matched to a cosmetic composition of a particular shape by the shape of the portion. When the tape is attached to or at least placed adjacent to the body portion of a person, the opaque portion having a shade that is close to the shade of the skin of the respective body portion becomes substantially invisible.
